You can get odds of 100/1 on them winning and causing the greatest Cupset of all time.

We start off with Mansfield against Middlesbrough and finish off with Wigan v Chelsea.

I imagine a Sunderland fan looking at this and thinking 'yeah, a uefa cup, a super cup, 2 league cups, the FA cup, a charity shield, finishing 2nd one year, must have been a bloody nightmare'

I didn't think Keown was that bad... but maybe I am biased. I think Lee Dixon is pretty good on motd2... when he is analysing games, you can tell he really knows his stuff...

its clear more and more, that Motson still looks at club games and forgets he isn't commentating on england...

remember the Terry 'tackle' on Fabregas in the premiership game at the Emirates this season...Terry comes steaming in two footed on Fabregas who is on the ground... and when Terry got given the yellow, Motson said 'oh, and a yellow card for Terry!' as if he was surprised... I think he has been so used to doing England games and urging us on, that when he does premiership games and the same england players are playing, he forgets that most of his audience aren't shouting for the same team...

I'm pretty sure that Motson is a Chelsea fan, he is always biased towards them. And you are right he is always biased towards English players.

Dixon's ok, Keown just gives the impression of a rabbit caught in headlights every time he is on TV and states the obvious, in a tired clichéd manner. It's not as if he's in an environment conducive to not talking in clichés though, it's a BBC speciality.

I did think it was a joke when I saw Carlton Palmer had been 'gained' as a 'pundit'

HAHA! laugh

fair do's mate

It also illustrates how bad peoples memories can be.....in this case mine.

But he got worse at the end im sure? and his signings were woefull.
Point is Rafas a step in the right direction in my opinion, but thats all it is in the end, one mans opinion.
If he can stay in the job long enough to build a good side, a few strikers and a couple of midfield changes would do it, perhaps a full back or two, I think we'll be contenders again.

Not that im asking for much there or anything.......... biggrin

The commentary cannot ever be as bad as that on ESPN - they are hopeless - they can't get their facts right even on the game they are watching - let alone what has occured in the past!!!
