RAZZAQ (U5176395) posted Jan 25, 2008 Some of you are getting over excited. How was Misbah talented early on and never given a chance. He is playing good now because he has matured, just like Hussey who is averaging 80+, who knows what he would have averaged or how his career would have planned out. People like Saqlain were never given the support they needed to overcome their injuries and they never had the chance to play again. Kaneria is shite. Samiullah needs time and guidance from Akram, a bit of advice and his pace will go up and he will start to swing the ball. I doubt it Akram will help unless he is offered a bit of money. After all he in Australia giving tips to Pathan and co.

He undoubtedly needed this kick up the backside, the only question is will he respond positively, or will his arrogant atitude and pride prevent him from picking up the gauntlet.

(U000786©) (U8527600) posted Jan 25, 2008 what is the problem with Wasim Akram ?, did he have such a major fallout with PCB he has groomed Pathan (fair enough) but has not actually came back to in a coaching capacity. Either way the PCB have to call him back. Where did Waqar go after his stint as coach ?

RAZZAQ (U5176395) posted Jan 25, 2008 I don't think it was a fallout. I think the PCB is to blame because Waqar was coach and at that time Pakistan bowlers were doing quite well and just before the tour of South Africa, which was in SA, he went to Hajj and because of that they sacked him. PCB are bunch of muppets. He was back in time for the tour only to be told they no longer required his services. As for Akram, he has helped the Indian left-armers i.e. Pathan, RP Singh etc. There is nothing wrong with that, however he can also help the Pakistan bowlers like Samiullah who has a few minor flaws and Sohail Tanvir and other left armers
