With such a lack of cash the only sensible answer is to persuade McMenomy out of retirement - - just until we get promotion back into the treasuer-chest.

I still have fresh in my memory a television clip of hoddles last match in charge of southampton. As he walked onto the picture the fans were raising their arms and bowing as he was the pariah and dont leave us. He left and went to Tottenham and ended up getting the boot from there. Why do the Southampton fans think he has changed? Pick someone new why go backwards?

Lets not kid ourselfs here, we are team struggling in the second division, we have a fantastic stadium which we cannot fill every home game, a board that is so short sited it cannot see past the end of it's nose. I would love Hoddle to come back, but lets be realistic he will not wanna come. If he does it will be like he did before to use us a stepping stone. And coleman will do the same. Any manager worth his salts will not wanna manage in this division, and be honest with no money promotion is a distant dream. I say get Big Lawrie in as director of football and let Doddy do it. He would do anything for our club. Bring back some pride to the club with getting Franny in as a assistant. Get that useless board out.Lets be a private company again and get ourselves straight before end up like leeds, no money no hope. Saints forever.

Now Rupert is no longer around you might want to talk to Souness.Because there are no people in football called Rupert.

No Hoddle please..... The man has about as much loyalty as Harry Redknapp - and look where that got us.

Even if we ignore the fact that Hoddle is, in general, a prat, what exactly has he ever achieved as a manager? No, no, no, no, no. Anyone but him. And by that I mean "anyone but him, except Sam Allardyce - the most odious manager whose teams play terrible football".

Coleman would be great, hope the reports of him being in Southampton at the moment are true.
