He didn't leave his last league game in a helicopter. There was a friendly with Liverpool afterwards cringingly billed as 'Auf Wiedersehen Kev'where they had this dramatic exit.

bluewackeroo (U1801542) posted Jan 24, 2008 As a Leicester fan, I remember that lob over shilts to put Liverpool 2-1 up in the Villa park replay. Afterthat, they took over, and ascored a third shortly after to run our worthy 3-1 winners. It was more than just a lob though. As the ball was played into him just outside our box, he controlled the ball with on touch, and before the ball had touched the ground he lifed it up and over shilton, who just looked over hios shoulder to see the basll in the net behind him, all in on magic moment. I was upset to loose the game of course, but it was a piece of skill you don't see every week.

MHLF150 (U10523256) posted Jan 25, 2008 I have to say that although I accept people's criticism of him that he walks away when the going gets tough it's something I quite like about him, he's honest and self effacing and is fallible like us all. Rare qualities these days. I hope he can work the magic for Newcastle, the fans deserve it.
