Anyone seen Rade Prica play?

Premier League Sunderland

Calling all fans

We've signed the Swedish international striker Rade Prica for £2 million(ish).

He played against Tottenham in November in the UEFA cup for Aalborg, and a few times for Sweden.

As Youtube doesn't give anything good, what's the opinion of those who've seen him play, or heard about him?

One thing going for Rade Prica, is that he is a Championship Manger 01/02 LEGEND! I have notice in the past that several "unknown" players who champ man made good have gone on to be internationals ie Kim Kallstrom, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mads Jorgensen so there is hope!

I think Keane WILL be a great manager but his transfer record so far is desperately poor i think. Gordon and Jones are two top players gut £5 or £6m for Chopra is crazy. Sudnerland will just manage to stay up tho.

All those players that Boycie06 spoke of were Swedish too so that can only be a good signing. If we follow Champie, then 06/07 had couple of good young players. Keano should go buy Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Daniel De Las Heras just for starters!!!

I emailed a danish mate of mine about him and he said the following:
'He has a strong header and top scorer last year in the danish league, but I don´t think he has what it takes to become succesfull on Sunderlands poor team.'

you can't say he isn't going to do well just because he missed a sitter for sweden, that's ridiculous. The best players in the world miss chances and EVERYONE has an off day. Give the lad a chance!

haha, have to agree that Keano isn't shaping up to be the manager everyone thought he would be, particularly in terms of his signings...Prica was a beast on last year's football manager though, so maybe Roy's been having a go on that lately!!

I have not seen Rade play , but I hope that he can gel with the rest of the players at Sunderland to get them out of trouble. I have read a comment on this page that Roy Keane is not shaping up as a manager, but I have to disagree with that. He has taken Sunderland from struggling in the championship to 18th in the Premier league and he will save the club from going back to the championship, he has given Sunderland and their fans hope of a brighter future and now when you watch Sunderland play you know they will give it 100% and be sure of the fact that this club has one of the most hard working and promising managers in football.

Good luck to Rade and all at Sunderland

I´ve seen him play hundreds of times or so, since I live close to Helsingborg in Sweden, where he used to play.

Rade was quite promising a few years ago, started well in both Helsingborg and Hansa Rostock in Germany.

Have to say though, even if my heart is with another team, that there is now way he´s good enough for a team like Sunderland. Sorry mates.

I am from Aalborg, Denmark. I'm a big fan of AaB, so I have seen almost every game he has played. He doesn't look så big, but he is extremely strong! Not many defenders can cope with his strength. He is also a very good header indeed, and scores most of his goals that way. Unfortunately, he is sometimes very lazy, and if his teammates doesn't play him right, he just gives up and complain to everyone. He scorede a lot of goals for AaB, and was the best player in the squad, but I don't think he is gonna succed in the Premier League. He is a great player, but not quite good enough.

Looks like the Scandanavian posters in this thread were right.

Not good enough for the Premier League.
