"I want to thank all the City fans as they welcomed me with such great affection and immediately made me feel like one of them," Bianchi said in a statement.

"I will always take their passion with me and will never forget the great song - 'Rolando Bianchi, he comes from Italy, he plays for Man City'.

"I would also like to thank the President, his family and everyone at the club who made it able for me to experience the Premier League."

It seems that we fans made an impression, anyway....

Your right about the Italians rarely performing in the prem. Being a Chelsea fan i was lucky to witness Zola, Vialli & Di Matteo but also the very poor Casiraghi. Ravenelli did ok until he got a bit big for his boots.
To be honest, the prem has ruined a few decent Serie A players. Shevchenko, Veron, Crespo (had his moments), Silvestre. Must be something to do with the pace of the game? That or they can't settle into a league without fixed results!!!

Newcastle fan in peace. i thought bianchi was a good player he had a brilliant touch. Ok his goal scoring wasnt that great but he didnt really get a good run in the team.

dud. looked like a girl. had a girls name. played like a girl.

had the height and build to cause problems but never utilised these qualities and was kicked around by most defenders he came up against. so i'm glad hes gone.

if your going to come into this league from another country you must stand your ground against the physical battle and not run around diving like a wee girl, and wear a scarf playing football!!!
look at drogba, adebayor, santa cruz, carew, and even wee carlos tevez! they knew what to do!

Yeah but all them were crap in their first season apart from Santa Cruz. Tevez left it til his last 8 games for West Ham to get going.

If Bianchi is unhappy then Bianchi does not play his best, so Sven made the right decision to give him on lone to Lazio. Personally I think Bianchi is home sick, wouldn't you? After all he is only young.
Well done to Bianchi any way for those 5 goals, although he made some terrible misses.
