This is the Official Match Thread for LIVERPOOL V HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE in the FA Cup Fourth Round.

Liverpool overcame a very big scare from Non-League side Havant & Waterlooville, thanks to a Yossi Benayoun hat-trick.

Havant & Waterlooville took a shock early lead through Pacquette, and he stunned Anfield after Liverpool failed to deal with a corner, and Pacquette managed to put the ball in.

Liverpool struggled to get going, but when they did, Lucas scored a 30 yard stunner to equalise, and Liverpool's scare looked to be over.

Within three minutes of equalising, Alfie Potter broke away after Steve Finnan's mistake, and the ball bounced in off Martin Skrtel, to give Havant & Waterlooville their lead back again, and again to stun the Anfield crowd.

Liverpool looked like they would go in at half time, 1-2 down, before Yossi Benayoun spared Rafa Benitez's blushed, to equalise once again for the Reds.

After half time, Liverpool looked alot better, & Benayoun scored two goals in the space of three second half minutes, to give Liverpool a 4-2 advantage on the hour mark.

Liverpool failed to deal with all of Havant & Waterlooville's set pieces, & nearly paid the ultimate price on many occasions, but Peter Crouch scored bang on 90 minutes to secure a 5-2 victory.
What did you think of Liverpool's 'fortunate' victory over Havant & Waterlooville?

All credit will have to be given to Havant & Waterlooville, after leading twice against England's most successful club.

>>There was only one bin man.

He must have been thinking of the van driver or the aspiring taxi driver. Fair play to them anyway, they gave it their best shot. ok

I'm just glad we did get the victory in the end. whistle

"Liverpool didn't dominate the game from start to finish, as Man Utd would've!"

Would they now?

Of course, the top teams ALWAYS beat part-timers 158-0, as international games against Andorra prove, also didn't Chelsea scrape past Exeter, and indeed someone even more part time in their title seasons?

Yes it was poor, but we came back, won, and in the end dominated, without needing to bring on the 'big guns' Job done, I'm happy, WUMMING all too predictable.

Why not save yourselves until we actually fail to win a competition - oh but of course, you CAN'T see into the future, and previous seasons we've always reached a major final, therefor you have to get your WUMMING in now isn't it?

Terrible I went to the match and was really embarassed to be honest. Go to most home games and recently we have been shocking, Inter milan will enjoy playing against such a poor team. How many decent signings has benitez made? not many, think it would be best for a change, Benitez out!

The plastic man is back after watching Chelsea easily beat Wigan 2-1. Just seen some of the highlights of the Liverpool match and the 1st goal from H&W was a joke. Typical example of how not to defend with the zonal marking system.

once again, it is proved that all the money you could ever have to help, sometimes the poorer can still pull off a shock.

I actually wanted havant to win today, simply because they fully deserve it more than Liverpool. It took bravery as well as excitement to get out on that pitch in front of that many people, and I think they deserve all this hype about this happening. Eventually people will get sick of hearing how they did it, but its such an incredible story. I actually wanted them to win! But then again, I bet even some Liverpool fans felt the same.

So well done guys. I was going off football before I watched this match, now I'm fully behind you guys. Gonna be hard to see a match of yours though when you bare in mind I'm from London!
