*** FT - LIVERPOOL 5-2 HAVANT & W ***FA Cup Liverpool Havant & Waterlooville by RKW - Heart and Pole™ (U8894432) 21 January 2008 This is the Official Match Thread for LIVERPOOL V HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE in the FA Cup Fourth Round. Liverpool overcame a very big scare from Non-League side Havant & Waterlooville, thanks to a Yossi Benayoun hat-trick. Havant & Waterlooville took a shock early lead through Pacquette, and he stunned Anfield after Liverpool failed to deal with a corner, and Pacquette managed to put the ball in. Liverpool struggled to get going, but when they did, Lucas scored a 30 yard stunner to equalise, and Liverpool's scare looked to be over. Within three minutes of equalising, Alfie Potter broke away after Steve Finnan's mistake, and the ball bounced in off Martin Skrtel, to give Havant & Waterlooville their lead back again, and again to stun the Anfield crowd. Liverpool looked like they would go in at half time, 1-2 down, before Yossi Benayoun spared Rafa Benitez's blushed, to equalise once again for the Reds. After half time, Liverpool looked alot better, & Benayoun scored two goals in the space of three second half minutes, to give Liverpool a 4-2 advantage on the hour mark. Liverpool failed to deal with all of Havant & Waterlooville's set pieces, & nearly paid the ultimate price on many occasions, but Peter Crouch scored bang on 90 minutes to secure a 5-2 victory. What did you think of Liverpool's 'fortunate' victory over Havant & Waterlooville? All credit will have to be given to Havant & Waterlooville, after leading twice against England's most successful club. Go to most home games and recently we have been shocking, Inter milan will enjoy playing against such a poor team. How many decent signings has benitez made? not many, think it would be best for a change, Benitez out!
