sontaa (U10886158) posted Jan 21, 2008 yesterdays game b/n Ghana and Guinea was not that impressive but the most important thing is that Ghana had win. Ghana should wake up to realize the dream of hosting and winning. I must say that i was not happy about the pitch because it was overgrown and restricted the movement of the ball. Ghanaians will not accept excuses like "we played well but could not win ". what ever be the case the trophy must stay in Ghana. May God be with us.

sparks_charlie (U4373380) posted Jan 21, 2008 I didn't like the opening ceremony, i wonder why their LOC came out to say the opening ceremony will be the ever in the history of the Nations Cup, what was so special about? In fact Egypt 2006 opening ceremony was so fine, The Ghana LOC have really disappoint me in their arrangements and sales of Tickets all of the ticket went to the black market which is very bad.

Nii_Ghana (U7235132) posted Jan 21, 2008 Well the soccer fiesta began in earnest yesterday, so stay tuned and enjoy yourselves and watch out for the EPL delegation - Essien, Muntari, Drogba, Kano, Obafemi Martins, Solomom Kalou, Geremi, Aiyegbeni, Eboue, Kolo Toure, Obi Mikel, etc, etc, - because these guys will bring honour to the EPL. Todays game between Nigeria and Ivory Coast is a classic.

drogbano1fan (U9715093) posted Jan 21, 2008 You are right about the Ivory Coast giving England lessons . Looking forward to kick off time tonight . Yesterday's game was good considering the state of the pitch , at times it looked like the players had no feet and what a cracker of a goal Muntari scored

KwabenaAcheampong (U10887508) posted Jan 21, 2008 The whole business part of the Nations Cup organisation is shrouded in secrecy with lots of kickback in the award of contract etc. We hope that the tournament itself is spared the corrupt practices now prevalent in Govt circles. No wonder the pitch in Accra is bad

Bimbostix (U10884564) posted Jan 22, 2008 So far, the pitches have been appalling! I don't know if i'm the ONLY one who's noticed this. I mean, how do they expect the best of performances and displays from these professionals who are used to playing on a level and less bushy turf? Because of the high level of the grass, their short-passes are very inaccurate and their timed runs are impeded 'cause their feet bury deep into the grass.

PapaPringles (U10905478) posted Jan 23, 2008 The Accra pitch was not the best. Coach Le Roy has made his point. He must stop belaboring this point about the pitch. The pitch has been worked on and it is looking better!Black Stars play the 'agor'type of soccer and get us the cup! Comment on this article
