Live - Ghana v Guinea

African Nations Cup
comment on the article

The talking is over - let the games begin.

Millions of people all across the vast length and breadth of Africa - from Tunisia down to Cape Town, Senegal across to Somalia, and everywhere in between - will settle down this Sunday afternoon for the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations 2008.

Yet 'settle down' is surely the wrong phrase.

This tournament is Africa's premier sporting event and its people always deliver an unparalled riot of colour and passion.

But what can we expect on the pitch from Ghana v Guinea?

The hosts, led by Chelsea's midfield terminator Michael Essien, are favourites to win the tournament outright but Guinea cannot be underestimated.

In playmaker Pascal Feindouno (AS Saint-Etienne) they have a prodigious talent with a knack for scoring spectacular goals.

Thousands of press from across the globe have descended upon Ghana and interest in the Africa Cup of Nations is greater than ever before.

But it's your opinions we want people, so enjoy the game - and make sure you GET INVOLVED.....

Who is going to win? And which players should we be looking out for?

What an effort from Muntari - a real star in the making.

It's clear now why Harry spent big money on him. Check the goal out
