Manchester United 2 - 0 Readingby "Name On The Trophy" >RD16< (U7768093) 19 January 2008
Another Man utd win, not as comfortable as their 6-0 thrashing of Newcastle last week, but 3 points is 3 points. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

cantonabeachsoccer (U9764507) posted Jan 20, 2008 If MOTD was biased they would have edited out Rooney saying it was the most difficult game, and they wouldn't have devoted about 5 minuets to showing just Reading chances in their analysis. I can't be bothered to trail back through all the comments to see if your right about Shearer and Hansen watching games was something i brought up, but whoever brought it up it's irrelevant to help prove MOTD bias in the Reading game highlights

Niqriol (U6756299) posted Jan 21, 2008 The Reading game wasn't the easiest. The manager's approach (according to his pre-match comments) was to stop Man Utd playing their game. He said if you let them play well they beat you. So don't let them play well. Yet in the end, though Man Utd didn't play the quintessential vintage football we're accustomed to, it was still a Red Devils win. It's a pesky little reality that Arsenal are right behind Man Utd and Chelsea aren't far behind. It's hard to predict where this crown will end up, but I do think that Man Utd will not relinquish it that easily. And now that they have their noses in front, it might just be hard to dislodge them again.
