Australia - Result In Perth

International Tests India

If it wasn't for the fact that I was born on the 17th, one of my brothers was born on the 17th and the house that I live in is
number 17, I would not have believed that for an Indian fan the number 17 had any significance. However, 17 is the magic number.

After the rhetoric of the past few few weeks, cricket finally came to life at Perth. What I have witnessed over the last 4 days is a test match that I would like to say has ebbed and flowed but it hasn't. Two teams came to Perth on a mission one played dazzling and dominant cricket on a ground that should have seen the series put beyond the reach of India by Australia.

The Indians had a simple strategy, you bring the best you've got and we will simply show you that we not only know how to win
but we know how to do it in style. Better bowling, better batting, better fielding, better team, better get used to it.

seeYouIndia, I must admit that I interpreted your previous question wrong. And I feel no inhibition in admitting my foolishness, since I read Gandhi and do not agree with many of his economic policies, which also do not stop me opposing globalization and free market economy. This is probably prudent for me to acknowledge one mistake, because this is exactly the philosophy I have been trying to defend: acknowledging a mistake and apologize.

Yet that leaves me with a lot of my questions that still remained unanswer. But all these do not matter much here, because here I tried to focus much on the menace of racism, castism and nationalism and to some extent simplified patriotism.

Hayden it seems has started challenging India. I am sure Kumble & company won't give a damn to Hayden. This was expected since what happened at Perth in those 4 days.

All the concepts & ideas that you possess now can fetch very good marks in exams. But the real world doesn't run along those lines. Life is not fair, nor it ever was and of course, i won't ever be. Get used to this fact as it might help reduce your mental agony.

If you want to do create a difference with your philosophical ideas, please go and start doing something "real". Preaching at blogspaces is not the right place for you. If you keep deploring here, I will continue to laugh at you, as you deserve.

I don't think you know the concept of sarcasm. I expect someone from JNU would, since it is the only university, apart from the Presidency College of Calcutta, where people provide political awareness a priority. It is the place which made stalwarts like Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechury, who are trying some serious stuff to bring a real change in the country. If Indians don’t blow it by giving the country to the rightist govt, we’ll see a sea change in the mental setup of commoners. And those who thought democratic reductionism is dangerous, he/she must look to the world and see what did the opposite of that brought us. A crook as a CM in one of the most important states in India, a moronic president in one of the most important countries in the world, and two dangerous faces in two of the most volatile states in the world. You all have disgraced a very graceful sport as cricket. Good that India does not play any other sport, otherwise the spectators (not the players or officials), but the spectators like the ones in here would have brought shame to sports. Now for cricket, you guys have long alienated graceful sports lovers. I hope you wouldn’t do that to any other sports. What am I doing here? My job is done, it is time I quit.

Saint Nemonamora, I am sick of your "holier than thou" lectures.

You seem to suffering from intense inferiority complex for your ethnicity and blaming others for it. Why don't you do something about changing things that you dislike rather than cringing about them on "Cricket 606"!!

Englindian,

If Harbhajan plays and the pitch helps spin from day 3 onwards, India should win, provided, of course, we do not see renegade umpires as we saw in England and in Sydney.

I still cannot believe that Sachin Singh was railroaded 5 times out of 12 at bat, including one dayers in England.

The test series would have ended 2:0 in India's favor in England and we in all likelihood would have been ahead 2:1 now.

“…renegade umpires as we saw in England and in Sydney.”

“Renegade” is a complete misnomer. To extend a perhaps justifiable feeling of injustice from Sydney to the test series in England just shows how far some people will go to excuse poor results and is frankly, laughable.

PNEUMONIA!
Your comments ususally are irrelevant and sickening. You dont seem to like anything about India and indians. But that is not the point. We are discussing about cricket.
