How many others out there feel as though a weight has been lifted this morning?
The arrival of the special K really did send a shiver down my spine when I heard driving up the A34 by Newbury last night, close to tears of joy (how sad is that, but its true) I just couldn't stop the memories flooding back of his playing debut against QPR, his four goals against Rotherham, his final game against Brighton, (remember that Beardsley goal) and his testimonial against Liverpool. Sweet sweet memories!
Remember those early days as manager when he brought Sheedy and Killer in, the 7-1 demolishment of Leicester when we lifted the Barclays Trophy, the same year as the Premiership began, Andy Cole banging 41 goals in a season and then the down when he left due to the clubs lack of foresite.
If he can get the team playing, bring in 3 or 4 offensive minded players, we have a chance of emulating what has gone previously. Naturally I feel a little apprehension, but my, what a buzz, let the good times role, all in good time, naturally!
