so with keegan arriving "home" and a new sense of optimism around st james park at the moment things are certainly looking up for your team at the moment.

keegan has alot of contacts in the football world and with ashleys billions behind him, he could bring in a few new faces to the club.

so just wanted to know who you fans would like to see him bring in and what you think you could achieve this season.

youve got a tough tie in the next round of the cup but if u get through that maybe an fa cup triumph this year???

thoughts please!!!

Lets see what happens when the rose tinted spectacles lose their tints! Mind you, he has performed major miracles at Newcastle in the past and the fans don't trust anyone else.

The only thing I'll say in Keegan's deference is that he is beginning to look like Delboy from Only Fools and Horses!

Friendly Gooner here,

I just thought i'd join in the debate about K.K's return to NUFC.

Although history shows that no one is succesful going back to a previous
club,Kevin of course, can prove to be the exception.

My own view is that he wont. The reason being that he hasn't got the bottle for it.He doesn't seem to have the stomach for the Job.He's shown that on 3 occasions in the past.It seems, when the going gets tough,Keegan goes.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong. We could do with someone to break up the top 3.

This is not a wind-up,just an honest opinion(for what it's worth)

Cheers--grandGoonerama--

I'm an Ipswich fan so have no axe to grind with the premiership teams, and I really hope that Keegan can fulfill the Newcastle fans' hopes. In an age in which top-level football is dominated by money and in which clubs are being bought and sold like any other company, the sport needs passionate leaders (like Keegan) and passionate supporters (like Newcastle's). Good luck to you - I sincerely hope KK gets the Toon roaring again.

Yes i agree, we now have the most important ingredients faith, hope & that we all once again belive. The power that has been missing the great geordie roar will return not only in st james's but in every public house, shop & street. anything is possible now.

For the first time in ages we geordies are looking forward to the match instead of worrying what the final result will be before it gets started. No more hiding behind the sofa each week!!

I disagree with the Toon fans. It is not faith hope and belief you have, its impatience, frustration, and unrealistic expectations. This Fanfare at Keegans arrival will soon turn to BOOs if he does'nt get results fast. King Kev will see just how fickle Geordies can be

Good luck Kevin you just might need it

First things first - Sell the wage drain Michael Owen.

He aint gonna get you 20 a season anymore.

Football is now only secondary to the other stuff he seems to be better at like writing his cr@p autobiog and being on the injury list which he seems to be quite good at and on £115,000 A WEEK - A WEEK YOU KNOW! to do what.

Good geordie money down the drain - imo.

I say sell him sooner rather than later.

Got to be Kev's number one thing to do!

-----------------------
so keegan gives him the armband...

What are you talking about?
How did 'please try and pass the ball instead of hoofing it' count as unrealistic expectations??
Big sam's team did not play ANY football and is our only complaint.
We don't expect to be winning trophies but we do expect to be watching a team that tries to play good football. As long as the team tries this then i don't think we newcastle fans will complain one bit.
