JimClark07 (U1651225) posted Jan 16, 2008 Iran is quite a popular one, If you look on the FIS website you have professional races there and big resorts. You also have resorts in Turkey, Cyprus and Georgia. You used to be able to ski in India but i'm not sure what thats like now

tiptopNickyG (U2505699) posted Jan 17, 2008 There is great snow from mid January to March in the himalayas of Kashmir northern India. I know a few people who have been and they reckon it is the nuts. That said, I am told there is some risk to westerners from terrorists though I have to say I can't find any evidence to support that.

By all means find your wild and wacky ski resorts and blow the BBC budget of another department, but please don't mess with what little sports budget the BBC has left to get wild & wacky with it.
