Premier League Tottenham Hotspur

That was what it said in my morning paper back page and I thought.....yes Okay let him go, I did like Robbo when he first came to Spurs and thought we had a long term keeper there and the position was solved. But he has show both for SPURS and also for England that his form has not just taken a dip but it would seem a more permanent dive. Don`t ask my why , its strange but I don`t blame Ramos for dropping him againt arsenal the other night. We have shipped so many bad goals already this season and although they are not all down to Robbo , by any means, he is the last man and must stand up and be counted.Lets just hope Cerny can now stand in and that we can rely on the man between our sticks cos we gotta get some clean sheets soon AND keep banging em in at the other end. That is the Spurs way. With Kingy now looking good and Dawson a good un we look ace down the middle again.

Robo has no right to moan about being droped, he has been pony all season. He has constantly let us down with his lack of consentration and poor performances. Cerny doesnt look a bad keeper i think he deserves a run of games.
Its not only a deasent keeper we need another center half kaboul and dawson are good players but would either of them get into the top 4 teams? no!!

I think that he is being a bit of a baby. He thinks that he is to good to be dropped, yes he's played i few games for England but he's not that good.

He was good enough when you thought you got a bargain, I think in truth a northern boy at heart! never mind if he stays with you at least he will visit his beloved club next season!

Robinson is Ian Walker Mark II. A talented keeper whose emotional fragility couldn't take the criticism that came with playing for England (remember the goal against Italy in qualifying for France '98?) The criticism affected their future performances and the result was a vicious circle that ended with them no longer being good keepers. Anyone at Leicester want Robbo?

As for the future, let Alnwick have his chance, or is that loan deal already confirmed?

Hiya, arsenal fan here. Obviously i have no love for Spurs, but i respect their performance the other night and didn't think Cerny had that bad a game. Agree with some comments that Robbo needs to be ditched - he's reached shocking levels. You can compare it to the situation at ~Man U b4 they captured Van Der Sar. They had Carroll and Howard competing to see wo was the crappiest stopper, and which could get the most flamboyant mistakes! Look what Fergie did with them - they aren't playing for man u any more. There is my point, ditch Robbo and find a more experienced keeper in the mould of Van Der Sar, Antii Niemi being an excellent example, good career, in his 30's, mature, excellent shot-stopper and can command his area. As a side though, there is a particular German keeper, close to home, who wants a move. He didn't want to go all the way back to Germany, probably cos his wife likes London shopping. Probably wouldn't be too expensive and would relish the chance to prove Wenger wrong by playing for one of our fiercest competitors! Yes, the one and only Jens Lehmann!! Lehmann for Spurs!!!!!

------------------------

If we did that, and he kicked butt for us until into his early 40's, then we'd finally be even over Jennings...
doh

if robbo didnt moan about being dropped then people would say he doesnt care!!
so he cant win.
granted he isn't on top form, and at present is an easy target for criticism when we concede. but if the goals he has been given most stick about, are looked at he is not to blame 100% if at all.

Croatia - bobbled up, and defenders are told from an early age that when passing back dont aim it at the goal!
Germany - robbo did try to push it over and it hit the bar! but then terry and rio just stood there as the striker (forget who it was) took advantage, if terry and rio had reacted the goal wouldnt have happened and nothing would have been said.

and more recently
Reading - fact is ive looked at it a few times, and the ball did not cross the line totally.

robbo just needs a shot of confidence... then he'll be back to his best, so people should let him get on with it.
