It is about the Almunia debate and also can include Arteta and Clichy and any other players who are uncapped for their country and could play for England still. Do you think it is right to reject them because they were not born in England?
Almunia is not good enough to displace Casillas (I don't think most keepers are to be honest because that guy is amongst the top 3 goalkeepers in the world alongside Cech and Buffon) but he's better than fatboy Robinson and HE CAN SAVE PENALTIES (something you guys desperately need) but it seems to me you don't want him because he's not English. Well you know Eduardo isn't Croatian but their fans love him and treat him as if he was. Deco isn't Portuguese but he's class. Even Hargreaves isn't English. He's Canadian who grew up in Germany but you accept him (now you do but before the world cup you hated him and called him Sven's lovechild)
What would you say if Cristiano Ronaldo and Cesc Fabregas were uncapped for their countries but were eligible to play for England? Would you still say you wouldn't want them because of that or would you die to see them play for England? You do know the England coach is NOT ENGLISH AND CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH but he's better than any English coach out there and his CV cannot be questioned so he is the right man.
It seems to me England is the last country in Europe and always has to catch up with everybody else. You have already fallen behind on the coaching and that is still down to those idiots who think hoofball is the way to go. No technical skill at all.
Anyway this debate is about foreign players being eligible to play for England. If they were good enough and better than the English and uncapped for their countries would you accept them like Croatia did with Eduardo?
