Lots of speculation in the last few minutes that Colchester should seal his signature this afternoon. Anyone know anything concrete?
Hope its not true though.

arsenal fan in peace.

My girlfriends dad is a die hard luton fan, what with living there as a child and what not, so im now feeling his pain..

one thing that chuckles me is the fact that top flight footballers are willing to give a day/week's wages to nurses, which is all well and good if you wanna make the back page of the daily star or the sun or whatever tabloid really, but why don't they actually try help out their fellow professionals and donate the same towards luton...

let the government sort out the NHS sitation and let the footballers/FA sort out the football.

This is such a sad situation for Luton Town FC. I have been a Luton fan for 40 years and have experienced all the ups and downs during this period. What I cannot understand is why the administrators could not allow the players who are being transferred to still play against Liverpool next week then move to their new clubs.
Why is football in England in such a mess. We have not qualified for the european championships in the summer, we do not have many english managers in the Premier league and yet there is so much money swimming around in the game at the top end that is not benefitting all the lower league clubs. This is so annoying for Luton fans and all our friends at other clubs in the lower leagues. I would like to suggest Mike Newell should be given a place on the FA. At least then we would have someone in charge who cares about the game. georgethebobber

He will be a great signing for you. Strong, scores the odd header and a really nice genuine bloke. Our loss is your gain. Look after him please. !

gunner-rossmcd,
I have family and friends all over the country supporting different teams 2 nephews one in WestBrom the other in Newcastle both supporters of their respective teams and a really close ex RAF buddy in Luton with his son whome I am godfather to, both massive supporters and I must not forget the rest of my very extended family (or I'll never be forgiven, they read 606 avidly) in North London supporting.....you dont need to even guess!
I agree with you pal you do feel their pain very much and you also feel the need for something to be done and done quick by whoever could do it or even should do it.
It is such a big big part of peoples life and leisure it shouldnt be taken away its awful and depressing, we all have to put up with the tax man taking things away, thats bad enough.
ok

What I'd give to see Luton beat Liverpool...

---

Never in 500 million years will Luton beat Liverpool at Anfield. Especially after this news, their chances have gone from extremely minute to non-existant.

Swindon Town fan in peace.

I genuinely feel sorry for Luton. We've been through the same situation - it took our previous (corrupt) board 3 attempts to sell the club because of the financial state it was in. Finally we have a new Consortium in control, though they don't fully own the club (yet !)

It's hard, but you just have to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best - though I can imagine the pain of having to sell off your best players.

(Though injured - I'd be happy to see us bring Sam Parkin back to the County Ground, for a fair price).

Best of luck for the replay !

A.
