King Kev, Robbo and Big Al

Premier League Newcastle United

King Kev as manager, Sir Bobby in an upstairs position and Shearer as assitant manager to take over in a few seasons.

Keegan- Knows how we want to play, will deploy tactics we want to see, will make us play entertaining football again. PLEASE bring him back. He is proven in the prem and at NUFC, has the best record in ten year. He left under a dark cloud because SJH was a greedy tw*t. Bring him back, success wont be instant but he is the man the fans love and would be one of a limited few who would be given time.

Shearer- A legend, 100% black and white, passionate, loyal, one of the biggest players to have graced the prem..... no managing experience. Let him learn from Kev as his assistant for a few seasons and then step up to fill his boots. AGAIN, someone the fans have alot of time for and would stick by.

Sir Bobby- Should be given a place on the board. He knows how to run a club and has countless connections we could benefit from. Another die hard NUFC fan, a local legend, a fan favourite. His experience and input is priceless.

I hope, with all my heart, that Ashley assembles the above team. Its a dream combination, it would give us a new spark and hope. Harry Redknapp? Hes just the same as Sam, may has well have saved the millions its cost to pump him and kept him on if this is who is to replace him.

Newcastle will get exactly what they deserve from this - zilch. They haven't got a clue about building for success which is why they haven't won anything for almost 40 years. When they were in with a chance of some stability and long term improvement, what did they do - sack the manager (Bobby Robson).I predict that within two seasons(not counting what is left of this one),they will have sacked the new appointment.

Kevin Keegan only came "close" to silverware at Newcastle because they were the Chelsea of their day, they had the rich benefactor spending far more cash than any other clun than Man Utd, and still won nothing.

I think you should get Bobby Thompson as manager, Jimmy Nail as Chairman and Tim Healy as Director of Football. After all, they're all proper Geordies!

Jaffa 11...How could Joey Barton be ever classed as a good signing when he spent new years in the slammer.
What manager now will be able to control this oaf.

Newcastle have always been crap and starting from step one all over again doesn't help. Why does every Newcastle supporter think that they should be aiming for European spots. It will take a good 10 years for Newcastle to even reach a top 4 club.

STOP MOANING NEWCASTLE FANS AND STICK BEHIND YOUR MANAGER!!!

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT...ale

I totally agree with Goonsbury, why all of a sudden is Newcastle a 'Top 5' team? Admittedly i support Everton and yes we always have rollercoaster seasons but i believe we are a 'Top 6' club and have been for many years but accept there will be seasons when that will not happen. Even the true fans of the top clubs will admit that sometimes success isn't easy nor straightforward but the hierachy at Newcastle seems a joke! They seem to think becuase they had the Shearers that they are a massive club, well you are not. Yes you have a BIG ground but that don't mean jack as this seasons proves. Standing by your manager and willing the team is the key, but as with most clubs you have got ridden of your best asset.....your manager!

It is coming quite annoying to keep reading in articles that 'The fans' choice would clearly be former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer'. This is not true. As a Newcastle United fan I have not spoken to one fellow fan that believes this to be so. Yes, one day in years to come it would be good to see Shearer as a manager but, please you journalists out there, do not undermine the fans of Newcastle and assume that we want a manager at Newcastle that has had no managerial experience whatsoever!

No one will want the NU job

the expectations are far too high the next manager needs to be given REALISTIC targets and given funding and time to rebuild the team

It doesn't matter who your manager is he will be sacked before the end of next season and Newcastle still won't have won anything.
