4 Man Shortlist, no, Almost 3 Man Shortlist

International Scotland
comment on the article

Just heard the official shortlist for our new manager has been narrowed down to 4:
1*.Tommy Burns
2*.Mark McGhee
3*.Goerge Burley
4*.Greame Souness
5*.Billy Davies (ruled himself out)
The next manager should be in place before the end of the month.
Please vote for who you want as the next manager with the corresponding number of stars to the manager.

I think GS should be given a chance to see if he can get us to South Africa? He has a lot of experience now and although he hasnt done that well at club level, I think this could be a positive move to bring him in! He was a successful player and captain of Scotland for many years and would get respect from the players! The other candidates are less experienced although Tommy Burns has been in the setup for a while now... I would give Souness the reins for a year then see where we are!

how can tommy be blamed for the vogts debacle ? Translating vogts tactics to the players ? The man could speak english ! Burns cant really be blamed when vogts didnt know what he wanted himself .

Didnt seem to be any problems when he worked with smith ?

1. Souness
2. McGhee
3. Burley
4. Burns

Burns fourth choice as outright manager but would be OK with him being assistant to Souness.

Can't believe that the press today are now touting Burns as the new front runner. In the words of Private Fraser from Dad's Army "We're doomed".

I cant believe weve already appointed an u21 coach ! Or that the decision for our national coach is in the hands of some old fool who chairs cove rangers or suchlike .

I can sympathise with burns, davies etc not wanting to go through that farcical process.

Both those guys have forgotten more about football than the SFA actually know.
