Moooody v Webster

comment on the article

A new crowd favourite at the Lakeside is born then, Moody loses to the number one seed, but he's won many friends.

I'm backing Webster to go all the way now, as long as he sorts out his nerves he's the best player out there.

I liked him, his antics perked up what was a pretty dull match. Although Bobby George, was correct in saying it was all a bit micky mouse

I disagree. At his very best Hankey is the man to beat. Granted it remains to be seen if he WILL peak, but if he does he'll do a fair bit of damage. The man can hit big outshots for fun

he can hit big outshots, but sometimes his scoring is terrible, lots of 26, 41, 43, 45 etc, not consistent enough, at least Webster consistently hits 20's, which for the BDO is quite an acheivement

Webster has all the shots but lacks consistency in his finishes. If Fitton carries the form he showed last night I can't see anybody getting in his way this year! Go on Dazza!!!!

Moody is surely the worst player to ever 'grace' a darts world championship. Yes, even worse than Niels De Ruiter.

I watched Moody vs De Ruiter and I dont think I have ever been so annoyed during one game of darts. Moody is awful - he kept getting 60, it was ludicrous yet he was dancing around and giggling - arrgh so annoying.
I am all for enjoying yourself but give it a break.
At one point when De Ruiter was throwing you could hear him shouting 'Come on!' which was well out of order.
Glad he is out though the standard this week from what I have seen has been pretty dismal so dont know if I will watch anything except the final now.
I dont recall it usually being this bad - maybe I have been spoiled by the PDC?

well done glen moody - nothing wrong with enjoying yourself on stage - the crowd and the whole of cleveland loved it -he is just the same when playing local league - better than watching some players who take darts too serious - whazaaaah .

What a prat this Moody is. He is a disgrace to the HOBBY of Darts.

I can;t decide whether Moody is a breath of fresh air or the most annoying player ever to grace the stage. Academic now as he's gone.

Webster is a class act but I hope the Dazzler does it this year playing the same darts as yesterday, it was a joy to behold and watching someone so 'in the zone' was as exhilarating as it was unexpected for the BDO tournament! Otherwise I always hope The Count does well.

And Webby is in the final, knocking out the defending champion in the semis. Wales v Australia final, I think he's going to do it !
