Just read the Record online about this kid, what do you think the chances are? He certainly looks like he would add something.

Bit rich Broxi ;

Stevens ( 1 and 2 ), Hateley, Gasgoine, Wilkins, Roberts, etc.

Specifically bought to win the league. This so called meagre league ?!

SPAMBHOY,i have no clue what you are referring to but one of the main reasons Woods Butcher, Steven and Stevens were at Ibrox along with Roberts has a lot to do with Rangers being the only British club at the time who had the money to offer them the wages they wanted plus offer them European football!

English clubs were banned from European competition and that was a major factor in Rangers being able to sign these great English players, many wanted to play in Europe but didnt fancy going abroad!

a proven striker with a bit of pace, and a left back , should be all that CELTIC need, to hold on to the title, and hopefully the next stage of the champions league

You are clearly off your rocker if you believe that Celtic are only two players shy of knocking out Barcelona

The league title will be won and lost on the performance of our midfield in the Old Firm Games, Donati is not near ready yet for that kind of battle, maybe if he was with a Stan Petrov but not with Scott Brown, both very good players with the potential to be great Celtic players but they need experiance in there beside them!

We are also crying out for CB

You dont get many proven strikers available for the CL in January and the CL should be the last thing on our minds, the league is the only target, everything else becomes a bonus

If those two players were Metzelder and Drogba, then I'd agree we might put Barca out.

But they aren't and I think if we turned over Barca they should scrap the rest of the CL on quality control grounds!!

Number 1 priority should be the top quality CB that we can build a defence around for the next 2-3 seasons.
McManus is ok for piling into tackles and last ditch clearances; but his positioning is awful and he offers nothing aerially outwith set pieces. Plus he's a total liability with the ball at feet.

A good (proven or otherwise) striker would be nice also, but we can still score with what we've got; clearly we cannot defend with what we have. Considering the quality of GK we have, the amount we concede is inexcusable.

Koki's a good lad. He's been great for the Japanese U23 team which won qualification for the Olympics. Only saw him once in the first team when he came on as a substitute in the Asian Cup last year. His game needs polishing but he'll be able to do that in Scotland. I don't think he's quite half as good as Nakamura, but then he's only 22.

It'll be easy for bigger players to push him off the ball ... but that's if they can catch him.

I'd have to say a better run in the CL. Douing better in Europe gets us not only more money, but could attract bigger players to the club.

sounds like a good player but celtic will need to also strenghten the defence with a cb and a rb to retain the title and have any hope of getting past barcalona in the champions league

personally i prefer a good finish in the cl to the cup because its a much more prestegious competition and way more enjoyable to watch. But, to scottish fans the scottish cup means much more and fot a scottish team winning the spl, the cup, and a last 16 place in the champions league is the treble.

All were bought from premiership clubs not the coca-mickey-mouse-excuse-for-a-day-out-on-a-saturday-cola-league. . .I think my point has been made!
