Just came back from the pub and im very happy that we have got throw a Tough test like Villa. Also i thought today we would have to take a replay but Rooney came on and changed everything. We were ok before Rooney came on but we could have played better. Rooney done a Fantastic job and you can say everything about Ronaldo but Rooney is just as important and also he's only 21!!

Well done to the boys and Fergie. Let's look forward to the next round

Saha just doesn't look good enough anymore everything seems to pass him by way too easily and it doesn't look like he is interested half the time. He waits for the ball to come to him which means it is usually cut out.

As for the game, Rooney made a hell of a difference. Anderson was great looks a fantastic signing haven't really missed Scholesy because of his performances. Carrick did well breaking up Villa's play would have liked to see him going forward a bit more thou. Ronaldo just didnt get any support and the back 4 was immense as usual!

Saha was chronic...£12 million for a striker that hasfailed to make an impact. He is in the same league as Kleberson or Veron. We need a new Van Nistelrooy.

i cant understand where this "rooni-mania" hype is coming from re this match. manure hv always got only one match winner in ronaldo and he's actually the one who won this game for them (he scored the 1st and made the 2nd for christ sake!!). rooney is just bein overrated that's all and he's nowhere near the class of ronaldo, torres and even adebayor!!

Carrick,saha were very bad today.
the Best were Vidic and Rio.Anderson very positive Park good working rate like always, good effort but sometimes not end product. Gigsy not in his days Rooney had a good impact on the game but it was the opurtunism of Ronaldo muscling his way out of the defender that breaked the lock Rooney scored second when the team were more relaxed and the game was almost won.I want Ronaldo to go for Real Madrid.I dont think Man united or england league deserve him.We can tell by the media and all the Rooney english supporters that as soon as rooney had a good game they start the hype:
The English saviour! the man u saviour! and so on...
Ronaldo is no good bla bla bla...
what a bunch of traitors and envious people!
Rooney is not half the player as ronaldo is in anything!
The false expectations of the media produces what deep down you will witness again even under capello:
England will fail! and I hope Ronaldo leaves United.SHAME ON YOU TRAITORS!
=====================================
what else can i say? u have hit the nail right at its top!!

I personally was digusted by Saha.
To think that we got rid of a player like Van Nistelrooy for the likes of him. A proven goal scorer for striker who quite possibly will never again score a goal for Man Utd. So i think it is time get rid of him and focuse on improving the likes of Anderson & Nani.

What a load of rubbish
A fully fit Saha is quality and proved that when he kept Ruud out of the team (deservedly so) However, the signing of Tevez has changed the way we play again, one of Saha's strengths was his movement, now with Tevez and Rooney upfront we have become a team that never stops chasing down and still has the class to use the ball. Saha served us well and still can when/if he gets his fitness back. Ruud pales in comparison to what the Rooney/Tevez partnership offers and Saha is good backup if he can reach full fitness again, if not, then we have to try to offload him. With the class of the midfield, i thought Smith would be a top drawer forward for us keeping defenders busy while the midfield worked its magic but in Tevez we have a player who keeps them busy but has the class himself to be a real threat

Can't agree sorry mate.
RVN was a superb player for us better than Saha has or ever will be.

Look at the goals per game ratio and look at the way RVN is able to score at any level (pl,champs lge, international, dutch lge and la liga)

Saha had a purple patch but is far too injury prone and imo he lacks the mental steel needed at this level.

Tevez and rooney are a top pair and they have the agression and desire saha lacks
