Liverpools Snub to Luton - Disgrace

Chelsea, Everton, Luton Town, Tranmere, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool,

Its an absolute terrible shame that Liverpool football club have refused to help Luton Town to the 100,000 which would really help the club survive.

Im absolutely bewildered as to why Liverpool have refused to donate their gate money to a football club really in need. As a Man Utd supporter I have absolutely nothing against Liverpool football club but their refusal to help Luton Town is just so very uncharitable. It really beggars belief and Im at a lost as to why Liverpool cannot donate a paltry 100,000 (a paltry 100,000 to Liverpool football club of course) to a club on the verge of extinction and whose footballers get paid really low amounts compared to Liverpools pampered stars. Actually Luton Towns footballers have not been paid for 9 weeks and how they got through christmas with their families without being paid god only knows.

Roman Abramovch was absolutely brilliant and a really good samaritian in the way he helped and forked out for Scarbrough. Chelsea were absolutely impeccable in the way they really sorted Scarbrough out financially.

I actually remember the people of Luton way back in 1989 stood in solidarity and support with Liverpool football club in their darkest hour and this is the support and solidarity Luton Town get from Liverpool football club when Luton are on the verge of extinction.

Luton Town and people have Luton have dignity and we all stood by Liverpool football club and we continue to do so on the anniversary of their tragic hour but I think Liverpool football club seriously need to question their ethics and morals as a big town in Luton could lose its football club with the loss of many jobs and the actual extinction of a football club.

I hope Liverpool fans acknowlege this very sorry state and actually put pressure on their officials to really support Luton Town in their hour of need. Luton Town are our football bretheren and Liverpool should atleast donate their gate money to this ailing club.

ok so say liverpool gave the gate money to luton, but then they go out of existence anyway, so liverpool have just lost 100k for nothing.

Good ok Someone’s brought this thread back on topic . ale
Although it would appear he is in serious pre-mod looking at the time of his post.

I agree, and also what about Boston and Leeds, wouldn't they both have a case of crying 'foul'? No other club helped them out when they were in similar situations.

It's all very well giving gate money to lower clubs in pre-season friendlies, but this is mid-season and in a competitive match.

I still believe LFC were correct in declining Luton’s Administrators (note NOT the club, the Administrators) offer.

Had LFC agreed it would have set, what in the future could be, a very dangerous precedent.

I do not know, but there may even be FA and League rules covering this. Does anyone know, for certain?

Why should we donate money to a captain who punched holes in his own ship

Ok so luton messed up, however they are an established league club and to see them disappear off the footballing map would be a terriable thin to be honest. It would be a good spirited gesturte if liverpool were to do so, considering that they spend, 500% more than luton are asking for in the transfer window.

As you've obviously claim to have better eyesight than me, maybe you can look at the slow motion replay at the end of the video clip below and tell me which part of JAR body the ball came off before going into the goal?
And which part of his body it came off before it struck the part of his body in the answer above?

Serious question here people.

Could this have been avoided if Liverpool had sent Luton its check earlier this week for Luton's share of next week's gate?

Will Tuesday's game be a breeze for Liverpool as a result of Luton's depleted squad?

What's your point Jonny? Scheming Liverpool thought to themselves "If we give Luton £100,000, and if there's a replay, they won't have to sell half a million quids worth of players"?

Ir anything, it proves that £100,000 would merely have been throwing a stone at a tidal wave.
