I was not there, but what a result. Dream result, hope we can get a good draw in the next round. It asks the question do we really need to buy anybody to strength the squad, yes defense is weakish but to keep the Blackburn forwards at bay, says it is strong. I don't know who ID started with but my god what a team and a great squad we have now, and have had most of the season. ID is the man and if anybody tries to buy MISFUD they should be told to jog on his is NOT FOR SALE!!!!!

God bless the Sky blues, we love you ID and Misfud.

I don't think i have ever seen such an attack minded display in any FA CUP game before.

My hat hoes off to Coventry City as they were another class compared to a Blackburn Rovers that looked out of sorts and they just couldn't handle Michael Mifsud.

Hope you Sky Blues fans have a good cup run because after what you have been put through it's the least you deserve.

From A Stoke City Fan

Well done Coventry. Obviously outplayed us. I can't believe we played that badly, even with the players we were fielding. Keith Treacy is awful, but there is no excuse to lose that badly to a championship side.

Why is there such a dip in form? We were high flying everywhere until we lost to Man U, and everything just slipped, espcially after the international break. I fear this result will give us another dip in form, too.

Sliemamaltahammer, Redmalteser is perfectly right. I am Maltese like both of you. Go ranting on the Hammers in their blog page or fanzines not here. Ok well done if West Ham are a great club from East London, and I wish you all the best...but please leave this place so we can debate the Sky Blues and matches related to them winkeye

SUNSHINEFELLA

I'm off to Malta in Feb, mainly to see all the Historical sights for pleasure and studying purposes. I might try and catch a footy match, and build a shrine to the mosquito!

Can you help me in where are the best places to go for all the above!

Many thanks to our Maltese commrades!

Claribourton.

Please visit these sites for historical info:

www.visitmalta.com and www.my-malta.com If you want to watch football see www.maltafootball.com Malta may be playing some friendlies and Mifsud should be here if so.

I suggest that you bring some woolies since it would be humid in the evenings. Even colder than the UK.

Just checked for you. Malta is playing three friendlies between 2nd and 6th February at Ta' Qali.

You don't need to but the expensive tickets if you are going but buy them in the Millenium Stand. Half the price, but no roof.

Thanks mate, much appreciated!

Can't wait to go!

P.s only joking about the shrine to Miffy, it makes me sound like some obsessed stalker. A fantastic player though, and I really hope good sense prevails, and we can keep hold of him.The only worry is that he has been linked with Reading, and they have just signed another Maltese striker. (sorry his name forgets me now) Could this be a make weight deal to lure Miffy to the Madjeski!!! What do you reckon mate??

You are referring to Udo Nwoko, a Nigerian-born midfielder who came to Malta at the age of 14 and came through our football nurseries.

No, I wouldn't think that it would be enough to lure Michael to Reading. Had he been a Malta-born player, it could have tipped the scales. But I am still perplexed how Coventry haven't made some efforts to sign other Malta national squad players - now that would really boost Mifsud! Maybe the embargo is still on, if not well it would be a big shame.

Malta and Cyprus do produce very skillful players that may lack in physical strength but would be much more wily and technical in their play, rather than the hit and run game. smiley
