david wheater can finish and win headers superbly and befor splashing out milions on strikers in transfer market why not give him a chance, we have a full strength defence and with a lack of strikers playing him up front will cause us no harm at all. as far as transfer market go's i think van der vart would me a excellent signing that will raise the clubs confidence and help us push up the leauge

van der vaart?!
We have no chance of signing him, if he came to england it would only be to a top 4 team, based on his style of play.. Chelsea. Certainly not to us though!

well many predicted same about tevez but he suprised everyone and joined west ham and van der vart wants to come play in premier leaugue and nobody is showing any intrest so if we made an offer it would definatly tempt him because he is playing in a worse leauge for hsv

Don't be silly, Van Der Vaart wouldn't play for boro in a million years.

i dont know how many times ive said this, but southgate has to play mendieta, he's got tons of experience which would do boro no harm at all.
he played in the 2002 world cup for spain and scored a very good freekick against south africa.
AND he had a great time under mcclaren, even scoring 2 goals in that 4-1 win over man u, including a brilliant strike, and played a good part in our carling cup success. i think he deserves to be in the team, tell me what you think.

I was at the game today and I thought that Middlesbrough played well today.
uptheboro19 was probably joking about getting coventry next round but I think that you will beat them to be honest.
They came here to Ashton Gate on new years day and they were rubbish.
even if they did beat Blackburn by a some what unbelieveable scoreline of 4-1!
Blackburn can't defend very well as Reading and tottenham.
middlesbrough can defend and I think that they will come round about 15th in the prem.
good luck for rest of the season.
