A round of applause

Scottish Premier Rangers
comment on the article

Next game at ibrox we should make sure we give this guy one hell of an applause, because where he couldve gone to spurs and trebled his annual salary he has chosen to not jump the wagon and stay with his boyhood heroes.

This does NOT happen very often these days and we should applaud this guys loyalty for the time being.

I would not ever hold it against him if he moves to Man utd or Arsenal or even Chelsea

Thank you Alan Hutton, you have made me proud to be a bear!

By all accounts Spurs are one of the biggest clubs in the world. They are bigger than Rangers and that is a fact, and I am a Rangers fan but you can't argue with facts. Check this if you don't believe me: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/34/Rank_1.html

Hope that clears up who are a bigger club. Whittaker is a great replacement for Hutton, probably better tackler but then who will play at left back?

_______________

You are saying they are bigger than Rangers and that is a FACT.

Erm...no the only fact you showed there is the money the club is worth. That is due to SKY TV money.

It depends on how you value what makes a club 'BIG'. If it is about amount of support (worldwide also), stadia, history, trophies etc. We win hands down. ok

spurs may be big and can offer hutton more money but hutton has more chance of silverware (albeit the scottish league) and definitley more chance of playing in the champions league.
i like him as a young player (not as a top youngster) but he should have gone, he is 23 and has enough time to go to england and adapt, but you must respect his decision. i dont think manu willsign him, because fergie may retire soon and the new man would probably look at foreigners or academy players. then he might regret it!

"Your right, Tottenham do have a better strike force than Rangers, probably the best in Britain"
i wouldnt have them ahaed of chelsea or man uniteds or newcastles, and berbatov is the only WORLD CLASS striker they have, defoe is unproven and bent looks likely to flop. keane play well with berbatov only otherwise keane lacks creativity. to be termed the best you must do it on the biggest stage, europe and international

eh? bigger then Rangers....Mabye financially they are..but then again most English clubs will be in 10 years time because there all scared to let the old firm compete in the same market.

history and success....thats what makes Rangers the bigger club. ok

So you are also saying Tottenham are a bigger club than Lyon and Valencia? Interesting. And also about as accurate as Dick Cheney with a hunting rifle

The Forbes list is just a rich list of how much clubs are worth. Of course the English Clubs will be high in this given the Billions of pounds which is gone in to their clubs.

The list also has Chelsea and Arsenal ahead of Liverpool (as it is based on money) but nobody would surley say that the London Clubs are bigger than Liverpool who have won the CL/European Cup 5 times.

Hutton will go to one of the EPL big 4 or abroad to a big club, probably in January but if not then he will go in the summer.

Dont Spurs fans(and english fans in general) understand that the only reason they can even think about buying alan hutton is because of the absurd amounts of money that are poured into average "diddy" clubs in england. If the old firm were in the premiership they would generate double the money spurs can and wouldnt even think about selling hutton.

4 days ago I said:

"The price tag tells me he could do well in England but his refusal to go to Tottenham tells me he's also committed and a gentleman.
How refreshing!"
Today I say:
I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND.
There is no loyalty. The guy looks to be on his way lured by money (what else..)
Contracts are worth s.. and very few care about what fans think this days.
Players are in a win-win situation. Fans are lucky if they get entertained....
