Set pieces are our achilles heel....

...Even in the last 3 or 4 days we have conceded 6 goals, 5 of which have come from set pieces, I would have thought that nearly 80 per cent of our goals conceded come from set pieces.

This is a really appalling statistic, Dawson must surely have played his last ever game in the centre of our defence, he gifted Villa both of their goals, he seems more interested in pulling shirts than actual defending.

Ramos will surely bring in a Centre Back in the transfer window, I would think even Derby do not let in so many goals from corners, it is quite incredible.

On paper, chimbonda / dawson / king / bale is a good back four. Admittedly Kaboul and Dawson seem to be showing the nerves that has dogged Robinson this season, but do we really feel we need another centre back?

Ramos will make a difference in time but he must address the defence issues first. Seeing Dawson return last night spelled disaster and he alone was responsible for the two goals gifted to Villa. Berbatov needs class players around him and will leave for better things. (hopefully not until the end of the season)

berbatov looked lazy and sulky last night. barely closing down and moaning a lot. keane came on and looked lively, tried to make things happen and created the space and chance for the goal. defoe didnt play that well at all, but at least he worked his socks off and his finish from his only chance was fantastic. id rather have these two strikers at our club with their attitude and work-ethic than a want-away sulky player like berba. id love him to stay but only if he commited to the club and played like he WANTED to play for US! i get the feeling that when he plays well and scores he is hoping fergie or grant saw it!! when keane and defoe score they celebrate with the fans and look genuinely happy to have put a smile on our faces. if berba wants to leave, let him, keane is our main scorer anyway, get as much as we can for him and get in a world-class centreback.

Not top half material? Last 3 seasons in top 5! That certainly doesn't equal a bottom half team and it's basically the same team.

It's about confidence and we have none when it comes to set pieces. I agree that we need to think more rationally when it comes to set pieces. O Hara against Mellberg is a hilarious match up, but then he does need to be marking someone.

Also, Dawson didn't move from his position for the second goal. It was Kaboul that moved out of position to try and challenge for the ball against Dawson. It then went over his head and Villa scored. Therefore, Kaboul's fault!

Has anyone got any idea as to why King was dropped? I'd have liked to see Dawson and King in centre.

I thought Villa were well worth the win yesterday. I only remember Spurs having two shots on goal, and one went in.

True, Robinson didn't have to make many saves, but that was only down to crappy Villa finishing. On the subject, I want to praise Robinson for taking the micky taking in good humour yesterday, and giving the Holte a wave.

I think Berbatov was exposed for what he really is yesterday. World class on his day...but how many of those days do you get out of him in a season?

Martin Laurson for England! ;-)

King was rested for the important cup games coming up...... We are going nowhere in the league this year. Ramos needs to secure European football next year so the cups are the only entry!

If Andy Gray could spot straight away that O'Hara and Laursen was a mismatch, why couldn't the Spurs coaching staff or the more experienced players?
Talk about dumb.
Who said that Dawson was good enough for England?
He would be much better off marking opponents rather than trying to take their jesreys off or giving them bear hugs
