BlueRoyal798 (U2097399) posted Jan 10, 2008 I would be gutted if Hunt left us for a team below us in the league, he has so much better prospects with us rather than Sunderland. He fits in perfectly with our squad and gels really well with the rest of the team. Hunt is going nowhere, he's a loyal royal !!!!

netsmith72 (U1778568) posted Jan 11, 2008 rrr1985 you are wrong. I have seen both SAFC and RFC this season and RFC are streets ahead in terms of class. They will not struggle as opposed to SAFC and the difference is the managers. Keane is NOT a good manager. He is unproven and clearly incapable of either motivating his players or persuading others to join him. Relegation looms.

BlueRoyal798 (U2097399) posted Jan 11, 2008 oi rrr1985 u need to do ur research, Reading are alot better than Sunderland and a class above Sunderland. Keane has done well i admit but u are a bottom prem/top of champ side, we are midtable team and dont need to make loads of signings or big name players which prove we are a far superior side. you cannot even compare Sunderland to us anymore, we are being compared to teams like Newcastle, Spurs and other mid table teams. Birmingham have more chance of staying up by the looks of things than Sunderland.

rrr_1985 (U10806577) posted Jan 12, 2008 Reading has been a mid-table team for what... one season? And how often do the tides shift in football? Exactly, I rest my case. Reading will be doing a relegation battle come the end of this season. As I stated before, they are no better than Sunderland, they are both going to be strugglers.

rrr_1985 (U10806577) posted Jan 13, 2008 I just read your post... I think Sunderland's results today, and Reading's results yesterday, show just what sort of daylight is between the two teams. Reading is now only separated from Sunderland by 4 pts - which is not much, so before you say Reading is a top half of the table club, and Sunderland is a relegated team, maybe you should look at the table and the results both teams have been getting. Sunderland AFC just beat Portsmouth, a real top half of the club team.

BlueRoyal798 (U2097399) posted Jan 14, 2008 you cant go by a bad run of form at the moment. our season doesnt evolve around a couple of games. (i hope)we have hit a bad patch atm and i saw the sunderland game yesterday and yes u played well but to be honest Pompy didnt turn up on the day. I was at Villa and omg we were rubbish. But i feel confident we will pull back some form and move swiftly back up the table. As for our players leaving. I dont think that any will be going anywhere at least not this season. Hunt is still contracted to us for a start and has said that he wants to stay. We just need to sign couple of defenders and we will be back on form. Comment on this article
