to be honest i think we really need a left back more than anything. bale to be long term left midfielder and occasionally cover at left back but no to a new left winger because at the moment im more than impressed with malbranque's form. infact he has been our best player since juande has come in.

so that leaves us needing a proper centre back. i suggest we gazump villa and get curtis davies.

also two central midfielders would be good

i think nani and diarra and david villa if berbatov is soled will be a key factor in the future is bought. if we sell defoe we might be looking for some1 like loius saha. but players that must be sold are: bent,defoe,tinio,maybe jenas and kaboul.

Van der Vaart would be a quality signing, though he only went to HSV recently. 15million for a quality left sided player. Im sure there will be alot of speculation espically with Seville players over this next month. I've decided not to buy a Sun newspaper during January! We also need a solid centre half for cover to nuture injuries and take some pressure of Kaboul.

easy to see who spurs need. a keeper, centre back, left back, two central midfielders, and a targetman/striker (if berbatov leaves)

keeper - i'd go for some1 with prem experience. friedel, niemi or jaaskelainen would do gr8!

centre back - either julien escude or wes brown. they'd make the defence a lot stronger along side king thn it has been of late.

left back - nicky shorey or wayne bridge. english internationls who will give their all and hav proved they are consistent premier league performers.

centre mid - the arentine juan roman riquelme wouldnt cost that much and has fallen out with his club, and is a absolutely fantastic player. also rafa van der vaart would be another option.
to play along side either of them i'd yake claude makelele away frm chelsea as he'd do a good job of keepin things tidy in the middle and give riquelme or van der vaart license to get forward.

striker - peter crouch is out of favour at liverpool and wood be the ideal choice as he is a great link up player and goalscorer. wood make a deadly partnership with keano
