SPL

Scottish Premier Rangers Celtic Motherwell

After today's tragic news do you think the SPL games might be postponed for a week or two as a sign of respect? I think most clubs would support the idea if Gordon Smith suggested it. I think they did it in Spain with the boy from Sevilla. You have to wonder how Motherwell can go on without their captain. Hopefully they'll honour his memory & keep performing to the same standard as they were.
R.I.P Phil.

A great footballer, a great captain, a great human being and a brilliant husband and father.
We have just lost a true legend

RIP uncle Phil

If I've done you any injustice, I'm sorry. I was working only on the basis of the post I could see.

I wasn't aware of a previous one that may have been problematic. ok

Like many in the whole of the UK, I am still in shock - my heart goes out to Phil's family and everyone at Motherwell. He will be remembered.

RIP Phil.

Well, I think that at a time like this, football is the last thing you want to think about, it's just a painful reminder of the fact that such a great player and person for the Scottish game is tragically gone. Without a doubt, all the games must be postponed in the SPL. At any games going ahead this week, there will be such a subdued atmosphere.

Phil will be sitting up there chatting away to Davie Cooper about motherwell's great season so far.

R.I.P. Phil your passion and love for the game will be sorely missed.

I think that they should only cancel the motherwell games on wednesday and saturday.

Also that the Motherwell v Celtic game all the proceeds from that game should go towards the family of Phil O'Donnell and any charities that Motherwell f.c. support.
