..................Well my fellow blues it's finally just a few days away, our Svenners will unveil his new players upon us, after having had more time to assess what is required for the rest of this seasons campaign. Like most of you I will be glad when all the speculation is over and we can settle down to some good results in the months to come.

December has been a difficult month so far and referees have IMO had more of an influence on this than they should, but things are not so bad we are still in touch with the top 4 spots and with some new blood to swell the ranks we should be able to make a challenge after we have done the business.

I still think we can challenge for a CL place, there is still half the season left in front of us and I believe we will under Sven strengthen better than our rivals for this spot! Portsmouth, Everton, Blackburn, will all suffer badly from the ANC loosing so many influential players, the challenge they pose to us must surly diminish during this period of almost two months.

We are not the only team that will be getting out the check book however, Chelsea, and Arsenal will be treading, but United and Liverpool it seems will not! Newcastle, Spurs are also making big noises about buying in January!

So where are we left now then? Well there are a lot of pluses coming our way not all of them are January sales either: The bull Bojinov will be hopefully making his return to training, and some of the City youngsters may well get a chance in the FA cup rounds, Sturrage will return to fitness, Etuhu, Logan, and Nedum all look promising for some games in the new year.

Our stated aim was a top half finish this year, and that looks already in the bag, so I plan for this whilst hoping we can challenge for a top 4 finish, and to be honest its probably just achievable, if any of the establishment have a bad day or two!

We enter the new year in 4/5/6, with it all to play for, the dark horses, with no pressure on us to do it, but lets be honest, we all fancy it! Just like a beautiful woman, look at me and smile, please! Thanks City for a great start, thanks Sven for the confidence to believe again, and finally, thanks Frank for saving us from mediocrity! The future is Blue! Happy New Year To All Blue Mooners!!!

DannyMCFC.
What about Richard Dunne and Didi Hamaan them 2 have been our best players this season. And Richards at RB i think he plays better at CB. Appiah? we dont need him we got Gelson Fernanders and Hamaan that can play that position and do a great job. City a need a goal scorer and a right winger who plays like Petrov

City should make a sneaky big for Santa Cruz from Blackburn, he looked awesome against us the other night. He's got everything, pace, power, height, composure. Offer Blackburn 10 million and see what they say. Who's this Modric bloke by the way? And, finally, please don't bring back Anelka.

also, we need another left winger, petrov is nowhere near consitent enough, he was rubbish against liverpool, looked like i didn't want to know. i really hope we get Quaresma, he is mint. We need another goalie too although i really like joe hart.

Any good striker, i.e. not Crouch and not Owen.

Berbatov would be dream, playmaker Daniel Alves.

We have a class striker in Bonjovic who was injured in the home derby; we do need a class holding midfield player and possibly a centre back as cover for Dunne/Richards. Apart from this I would wait until the summer, if we are in European football next season then we will be able to attract even bigger names.
