ROY HODGSON - Fulham's Saviour?

Premier League Fulham Blackburn Rovers Chelsea

comment on the article

Roy Hodgson has been appointed the new Fulham manager and will take charge after the Birmingham game.

The ex-Blackburn manager almost took Finland to Euro 2008 and will succeed Lawrie Sanchez.

"I am determined that we will overcome the current position"

"I understand that it will be a challenge, but one that I will relish."

Can he save Fulham from relegation?

I sincerly hope fulham can be saved, but the way that they are playing somthing must change!!(and this from a saints supporter!!).But this is i consider an appointment on the cheap which is not what fulham need, and as there are many better managers available,i cannot in all good faith believe this is the best available, and as for the england job "oh please" he is knowhere near good enough and this is why quite rightly he was not lorded!!!.Sorry fulham fans crap appointment, and i should know supporting southampton!!!.biggrin

Truly great manager who should've been chosen to manage England when they appointed Eriksson.

It's a big task to keep Fulham up - the competition at the bottom of the table is of a higher than usual standard this year.

Can anything save Fulham? Championship players + Spurs misfits. Not a chance of staying up im afraid.

All the bottom clubs now are fitted with good managers (apart from Boro) this should be an interesting relegation battle with Hodgson in the pot.

Hope he is rubbish, personally. Good manager but I want him to be plagued with poor luck.

From a fellow relegation rival fan...

Its crazy how managers get changed nowadays, people forget that all in all clubs got to win n lose the difference is that the worst losers get relegated.

The appointment of Sanchez was a big mistake because he was never going to be given the time to turn things around. Add the fact that quality players have left Fulham in droves and you can see why Hodgson has his work cut out.

Given the situation I think this appointment gives Fulham as much chance of survival as any other appointment would have done.
