Boxing Day's Premier League action

Premier League
by Paul Fletcher (U1816326) 26 December 2007

More or less a full programme today - with only Blackburn and Man City missing from the action. And who needs them eh?

I'm an ipod nano, a black cardigan, two series of Peep Show and a Borat dvd better off as a result of yesterday.

On the downside our already clogged hallway is now further cluttered by the addition of another bike which I have already crashed into several times on a somewhat accidental basis.

Anything good - or, even better, very, very bad - come your way yesterday?

Down to business, and with the 'big' four (if not the top four)in action it should be a cracking day of top-flight action.

With three games at 1300 GMT, five at 1500 GMT and one kicking-off in the evening the action is staggered nicely through the day as well.

Get involved!

"I'm starting to think that if you have some serious issue in life, you support United and act like an internet toughguy on 606."

As distinct from folk who haven't the courage to complete a profile stating who they support!

Sepo: Not really, I don't think any team does, especially now Pool have Torres. Everton are good, but wheres the depth? 3/4 great players and 6 good players isn't enough, what if half of them get injured? I think Pompey, Villa, Citeh , Spurs (:P) and Everton are all very good sides and can give the top four a game but I don't think they have the depth to do challenge all year round.

"Does anyone but me think Everton have a realistic chance of breaking into the top 4 in the next couple of seasons... or even this season?"

I think there is more than just Everton who have a realistic chance of breaking into the "top 4." I actually think that over the next 3/4 seasons the top 4 will become the top 8/9. Teams like Everton, Man City, Pompey, Spurs(with Ramos they will be up there) and of course my team Villa (possibly Blackburn aswell) and the EPL will be alot better for it. If each of these teams buy well and keep their best players they have a real chance.

I think personally MON is building something very good at VP and in the next 5 seasons we will be up there as most of the other teams i have mentioned. The EPL will be so much better when 8/9 teams are competing for the title.

Don't know who the hell the mod is on here, but I've had my third comment of the night removed, because I suggested Toure Eboue and Drogba would eliminate themselves from the ACN to get back sooner to their well-paying clubs.

To be fair I don't think Eboue or Drogba would 'throw' games, I think you'll find they are rather passionate about playing for their countries.

take an action which would be dishonourable. Your post was therefore defamatory.
