Beckham close to training with Arsenal

Arsenal

David Beckham

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed David Beckham is close to training with the Gunners during the LA Galaxy's off season.

Arsenal's London Colney ground is not too far from Beckham's Hertfordshire home, which means the midfielder will have an easy commute to ensure his fitness is up to scratch when Fabio Capello announces his first England squad for the friendly against Switzerland on 6 February.

Beckham needs one more international appearance to reach 100 caps for England.

However Wenger immediately shrugged off suggestions that Beckham could feature for the Gunners in the new year, although Arsenal fans would probably say the 32-year-old would have a hard time getting into the current team.

Is this a good move for Beckham? And will Capello keep close tabs on his fitness? He wouldn't spoil a Beckham party at Wembley, would he?

FFS In 10 years time we will be able to compare them properly until then the comparison WHICH YOU INSTIGATED is futile. Come back in 10 years

well why don't you do what a sensible 30 year old unmarried man who lives with his mum would do.

compare both at the same age, i.e. 22, and then see who has achieved more.

Why reply to a 3 week old argument which you aren't involved in?

cos funnily enough, i haven't even looked at the rubbish you have come out with for the last month or so, and you still manage to keep numerous threads running (especially ones about your poster boy becks)so why does it matter what i say, it won't stop you making childish comments about your beloved idol.

You are the donut commenting on a thread no-one else has touched in weeks. ALL of your recent comments have been about Beckham - so who's got the infatuation? Or is it me you are infatuated with?

If you know what day it is, why not talk about that? Or if you don't want to why not talk about something relevent, not something no-one else is discussing?
