Sanchez SackedPremier League Derby County by ramsfan89 (U10128489) 21 December 2007 Ive just seen the news that Lawrie Sanchez has left Fulham. Is this bad news for Derby? We've already seen fellow strugglers Birmingham, Bolton and Wigan improve under new managers, is the same going to happen to Fulham because at the moment they are a very poor team. Rocky57 (U4315019) posted Dec 21, 2007 As a long time Fulham supporter I'm in 2 minds about this. It's unquestionable that, because of the money involved, Premiership teams are panicking too quickly & changing managers is obviously no way to give a club a stable basis upon which to build a team. On the other hand, Fulham's main mistake was last May when they sacked Coleman & employed Sanchez, allowing him the money to replace virtually the whole team. I'm not saying he introduced poor players, but it may be an indication of his shakey man management that he needs to work with so many players he previously knew.

marwat27 (U10704527) posted Dec 21, 2007 He has been sacked as Fulham manager, what has that got to do with ROI? (When ROI beat England,Spain and Sweden come back to me) The fact that you have to remind people of your players sounds like sour grapes to me. Sanchez started a great thing for NI, credit where credit is due. He won’t be interested in the ROI job after managing NI and Fulham.

Open The Taps (U10678233) posted Dec 23, 2007 I went to watch us play Fulham and thought Fulham were rubbish. If Fulham's goalkeeper hadn't had such an inspired match I'm sure we would have won 3-0. Comment on this article |
