I haven't seen Demetrius Hopkins fight to be honest so I might have a wee look on youtube if I get a chance later, but his record isn't that impressive. Have a look at the guy who drew with him earlier in his career - http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=33107&cat=boxer

Although it was only a Technical Draw, Bobby High is hardly a world-beater now is he? I think he's trading on B-Hop's name and, like Malignaggi, he doesn't look as if he has the power to stop people. On paper his record of 1 draw and 28 wins (with 11 of those knockouts), on paper compares favourably to Malignaggi's record of 1 loss and 23 wins (with 5 of those knockouts). Taking a closer look though, the only name I recognise on Hopkins' record is Steve Forbes, and that's only because he was on The Contender 2!

For me "Golden Boy" has too much of a weight and reach advantage over "Hitman".
He is a natural Light-Middleweight and his reach is 73". Ricky is a natural Light-Welterweight, a stone lighter, with a reach of 65". Having 8 inches of a reach advantage would be a hell of an upper-hand for "Golden Boy" to have over Ricky at the start of the fight, similar to that of Poofy Boy's...too much of an advantage in my opinion - look at how Poofy Boy used it to his advantage.

Realistically, Hatton should never have taken on the PBF fight. Cotto would have stood a better chance, Ricky is a LW weight and nothing more.

I think 'the hitman' is an exceptional British figher, but he should only stay in the game for a couple more bouts, firstly Malignaggi and then a showdown with Junior Witter.

His tendancy to walk around 40 pounds over his fight weight in between bouts, has taken 4 or 5 years off his career.

Regardless of what weight Ricky walks around, he was always going to retire in his early 30's - he made a pact with his Mum that he wouldn't fight past 30. His Dad has come out and said that he'll have another 5 fights so he'll be at least 31 before he retires, but if he wins all those then he'll have nobody else to beat nor nothing else to prove so why prolong his career just for the money?

I'm a United fan so it pains me to say this, but City are a much-improved side under Eriksson and Elano and Petrov have been excellent signings. So not only are City "Cr8p", Hatton is not "Cr8p" either. He is, without question, the best Light-Welterweight that these isles have ever seen. I don't know where people get off slagging one of our best ever fighters just because he got beaten by one of the top Pound-For-Pound boxers on earth...
