It makes common sense to save this lad from death. Hes not come to our country to live off the state hes a hard working lad and he deserves to stay in this country. SAVE AL BANGURA!!!!!!!!!

one rule for footballers one for others. plenty of illegal immigrants want to work hard but they don't get the support. or do most people want to use tired old stereotypes.
footballers contribute to society----how!!!
oh yes ,kicking a pigs bladder and swearing at referees etc etc

Obviously they are making an exception for Al Bangura.
The whole picture has not really been reported, and there are many comments from people who don't know the first thing about the Immigration Rules. He does not have the caps and does not play for a Premier League team - both requirements to be issued with a Work Permit!!!
The immigration system in this country is terrible but the Home Office are just trying to do their job. It would seem that Bangura has exceptional grounds to be allowed to stay, and I'm confident that he will be allowed to do so.

hope this player go's on to stay in this country and do well for his club. its also good to see support from fans of other clubs in the country.

Everyone is saying about how much tax Bangura is paying, but if he is sent back then Watford will sign a player who is legally allowed to work in this country as a replacement who will pay the tax lost by sending Bangura home.

You can't change the rules just because he's a footballer. If we do, then every other illegal immagrent will have a case against being sent home due to Bengura staying.

Why don't Watford loan him to a club in Belgium so he can get a passport?

Send him back, end of story. He has NO valid reason to stay, he has no reason to be scared to go back. He plays football, big deal. He has a white british fiancee and child? Oh wow, stop the press! *sarcasm on* If thats not reason enough to let an illegal immigrant stay I dont know what is *sarcasm off* None of that matters anyway. If she loves him im sure she and the child will be very happy when they go and join him in Africa.
Let one in, let them all in. The rules are lax enough with immigration, they need to be tightened.

"Let one in, let them all in".

About this case, ok being a Watford fan I might seem biased. However I don’t think many people wouldn’t mind if there was say one rule, but there isn’t. He does work pays tax, which is a fair more then the 500,000 of them that don’t in UK!

The block of flats where my sister lives is the only UK resident in the block. All the rest of them are non UK/EU nationals can’t speak English and all on social benefit. One flat even got a plasma TV in there! It these ones the Services should be targeting.

This whole situation is absolutely farcical. The lad is a pro-footballer who obviously has a bright future in the game, pays taxes on his wages and is trying to build a productive life here.

<Why don't Watford loan him to a club in Belgium so he can get a passport?>

That would be a good option
