IshantSharma's Adam'sApple (U10026009) posted Dec 12, 2007 india played too safe, their second innings was way too slow, to chase 300 on that would be impossible so batting on for another 80 runs was a waste of time. it is this kind of attitude that will prevent india from becoming the no 1 team in the world.

blur-mufc (U8614245) posted Dec 12, 2007 lets not try n think the aussie way, lets play within our limitations..we had a very limited pace attack, which was exposed till ishant sharma's fine spell..we do not have a pace spearhead in our ranks, that we can bank on for taking quick wickets 9 outta 10 times..and test cricket is not all about winning, its about strategy as well..all i can say is that it was a fine last day's cricket you guys saw ( i missed it cuz of a stupid exam !! )

10wickets (U10644602) posted Dec 12, 2007 Now that you know the end result, it's pretty easy to say that... eh? It would been a stupid decision to declare at 300 knowing what we know Pakistan did in their first innings.

Hemant27 (U8315938) posted Dec 13, 2007 The declaration was stupid. There was no way pakistan were going to get 300 of 60 overs. A target of 300 would have meant pakistan would have to come out playing shots which would have brought wickets. There was no way pakistan would have scored 5 an over on a pitch that didnt bounce. India did the same thing in the last test in england. They could have won that 2-0 but were pessimistic and settled for a 1-0. DHONI FOR TEST CAPTAIN!

rajpatel67 (U6790742) posted Dec 14, 2007 Pakistan fans keep harping on about their injured players not playing. India too had injuries - Sachin, Sreesanth, RP, Dhoni, Zaheer,Munaf to name a few but you dont hear us making excuses for not winning the series 3-0. You have to go with whats at your disposal.
