Hatton looked like an amateur. Mayweather is definitely the best boxer of his generation.

Loads of room for "Sportsmanship" when there's £7 million squid to look forward to.I would take a beating for half of that.

GOLDEN247:"hubare i'm sure you're referring to yourself about being an armchair boxing expert to even think hatton would win shows you have limited knowledge of boxing and it seems you were taken in by the hype"errr... noI've said in earlier posts that I was nervous of the fight because I knew logic determined Mayweather would win... but I was thinking with my heart when I was backing Hatton.
Just collected my winnings from the bookies. Thanks to everyone who piled onto Ricky here in the UK..Very generous odds for the best pound ofr pound boxer..I was worried that Ricky had a punchers chance but he got a real lesson in the class divide big time.Mayweather may well be the greatest boxer ever. No-one can beat him in his weight and would he want to step up...
just saw ricky arriving back today!he sais something bout wanting to fight pbf again.obviously the man has taken too many head shots.is he nuts?billy graham please play him the tape of the fight.you should edit the part which shows your inane instructions between round of course.
I'm watching the fight for the first time on Sky tonight....Mayweather is a class apart. McGuigan is far too biased to be a commentator!

abbdefaria you are one of the biggest cretins I have come across on these boards. How much longer can you drone on with your boring indignant swipes just because a few idiots booed your anthem. Get over it, and yourself, you muppet.

I predicted Ricky to win the fight. I could not have got it more wrong however, I believe that if the pro Mayweather referee had not interfered with the fairly successful early round tactics of Hatton, I think Ricky at least would of still been standing albeit losing on points. The question after this fight must be Is mayweather that good? or was Hatton not as good as we or infact we thought? the answer must be a bit of both. To say Mayweather is the greatest? Without doubt he is the best boxer out there right now! But he would be a fool to compare himself to the likes of Leonard, Hearns and Duran. All 3 of those fighters would have knocked Mayweather out inside 6 rounds. The way Mayweather illegally uses his shoulders on opponents shows what little experience Hatton had to deal with this. His unbeaten record now counts for nothing whereas Mayweather's unbeaten should be respected now. He may as well retire now as there is simply no more fights out there for him.
It was an amazing fight...i'm glad to have been able to watch it I think all of us hatton fans really underestimated just how powerfull Floyd Mayweather is & it's a pity to say it that Mayweather totally outclassed him right from the get goafter watching the fight over 3 times now, there isn't a moment in the fight when hatton had mayweather uncomfortable, there were no big hits from hatton & mayweather picked him off time after time after timeHatton tried his best but Mayweather showed the world just how good he really his & he'll go down as one of the greatest boxers of all time....right up there with Ali
