Becks To Be The Face For World Cup Bid??England by MarkNobleisthefuture (U8611025) 06 December 2007 I'm sure Becks would love to be involved in the England bid as by 2018 he will have retired from football and he may be a bit bored as shopping can get boring after a while ;). I for one would love to see us host the World Cup and maybe if we can get a few players from '66 to help as well, we have a great chance. We have some of the best stadiums in the world and imagine, a World Cup Final at Wembley :) Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

realthing (U7999231) posted Dec 8, 2007 Becks has played for two of the greatest teams on the planet. Been a thorough proffesional throughout his career, won all the important trophies there is to win at club level. Captained England, closing in on a significant achievement of 100 caps and still he refuses to retire from International Football. Is one of the most famous faces on the planet. All this gives him more enough credentials to support our campaign for 2018. The clowns on here slagging him do not know what they are talking about. You are even blaming him for our failure for 2008 when he he had played we would very likely qualified. I have said it 100 times before the managers are the people that have failed England, Beckham and Owen have been the only reason we have had a glimer of hope over recent years.
