MarylandRed (U1773619) posted Dec 6, 2007 It says so much for NU's ambitions when a draw against Arsenal is celebrated like they've won some trophy already. Reminds me of that huge crowd they had when they signed Owen. Come on the Toon you can surely do better than that!

ARSENALLADY (U5248607) posted Dec 6, 2007 I think its laughable that Big Sam was under pressure in the first place, and even more laughable that a draw has 'eased' the pressure supposedly...how can one game change a manager's status?

Keelanthegooner (U7250263) posted Dec 6, 2007 we got a point away from home (apparently where we are weak and going to defintely lose the title) to a mid-table team whilst playing shit. and missing 3 of our best players this season to boot...

Munkaran (U10595699) posted Dec 6, 2007 Newcastle played brilliantly yesterday, considering their recent form. After Adebayors goal, I think Arsenal only really had a maximum of 2 decent chances, and I dont think they even had another shot on target. Newcastle had a huge bunch of half chances, a incorrect offside call, and bad refereeing when he didn let Milner play on after a bad tackle.

iwjp (U1899079) posted Dec 6, 2007 Arenal did have four midfielders missing in Hleb, Fabregas, Flamini and Diaby. All of whom could have provided that essential piece of creative link play that was unfortunately missing.

Thegunnersofthequeen (U9895053) posted Dec 7, 2007 really to be honest i dont see what the fuss is about, newcastle tried their full best but only squeezed a draw!? doesnt sound good to me, especially when arsenal were missing flamini, diaby, hleb, fabregas and of course persie, our best sriker, really newcastle should have won, and especially at home. but it does make a change from loosing once in a while, but i dont think anything has changed, we'll see next time if they can once arsenal get persie, fabby and the rest back, then newcastle will be tested Comment on this article
