IMHO, De La Hoya was a better fighter before his loss to Felix Trinidad. Oscar has seen better days, and this is yet another much-hyped fight against a player in his twilight years....

This has the worryingly unconfident look of an 'insurance policy'/Swansong fight. If Hatton beats Mayweather he can hand pick his next opponent, fee, location etc. Not that De La Hoya at Wembley is some undercard event naturally, but surely if Hatton truly believes he's going to win, then he wouldn't be looking at something like this now.
i am no expert on boxing but wldnt it have been better for hatton to fight de la hoya before mayweather.

This is obviously ODLH wanting to be second p4p best boxer as PBFMJ already beat him, so he is seeking redemption thru Hatton as he lost to unimpressive Trinidad. I liked him but he could not stand up to US boxers.
For me this is a total distraction for Hatton. The jobs hard enough as it is without signing up for more fights. I hope Hatton wins and lines up this fight which really will be probably more of an exhibition than the main event this weekend, but will set Ricky up for life. De La Hoya should have stayed his distance and gave encouraging comments from afar like Sugar Ray Leonard has in Hattons favour. But 'Golden Boy Promotions' seems to have taken over proceedings and it could be Hattons undoing, I think he's strong enough to be totally focussed but it can't have helped. How many tickets will the Hatton / De La Hoya fight sell if Hatton is made a fool of this Saturday ??? One fight at a time, Ricky !!!
Hatton is the right chioce to fight de lo hoya come on hatton
The TrueFact is that Hatton will get beaten up on Saturday when he fights PBF. If he fights ODLH he will get beat up again. PBF and ODLH are "elite" American fighters. They don't go down E.Z. Don't 4-get that ODLH has fought tough opponents like Bernard Hopkins, what challenge would little Hatton pose to him???? Hatton is a tough nut but when he comes to America he will find himself caught up in "Star Wars" flying a propeller plane. The British mustn't forget that Hatton's coming to America to box not to play soccer!!!!!!

Why is Hatton in talks about his next match, surely his whole concentration has to be on Sunday morning and how he will dish out the pain to Mayweather!

Is Hatton like, a masochist or something? He is yet to be beaten by Mayweather but he is already planning for his beating by the goldieboy.

Bad move in my opinion...He can try if he want to an least Wembley stadium is now used to British loosing matches... there is always a 1st time for Boxing as well.Oscar will silence the anthem booing chavs at Wembley on the night ...Ricky you are no match for MayWeather and surely you should not attempt Oscar infront of you home crowd
