I can't see England dropping KP. WIth Freddie out, who else can bludgeon the ball like KP? England need at least one hitter in the top 6.
Besides, England (Strauss excepted), aren't known for axing well known players are they?

Hey sixbighitter Im guessing KP will move up the rankings although I would be really surprised if he does socre that many runs - I'll still have my fingers crossed for English victory - what England should do is send swamy and all the other Pietersen haters over to Sri LAnka to heckle him when he bats that'll get him up for it and he'll turn it on like he did in SA lol

Ever since KP arrived on the England side, the team's batting has actually been weakened... and many Tests were lost than won. The same fate has befallen the ODI team as well... despite KP's indl. ranking, the team has won more games in his absence; and lost many games despite his presence.

Indl. records are of very limitd value in a team game like cricket.

Weasel and DL: I guess it is easier to indulge in abuse; rather than engage in sensible debate to fact-based arguments.

Are you disputing that KP's arrival has weakened England's batting; or resulted in poor team performances in ODIs... bcos rankings do not take into account strike-rate, match situation etc.?

Perhaps the loss of Tresco, Flintoff and an in-form Strauss have had more effect on weakening England's batting than just KP - as for the ODI's well sorry england have been shocking for the last 5 years or so with or without KP so that holds no sway Although recently they did manage to win the VB series, admittedly without KP (no one knows how they managed that lol) and the managed to beat Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka for the first time, With KP - so guess the signs are looking up in ODI's rather than gloom and doom
