Brian Barwick - CALL MOURINHO TODAY!!!World Cup England by bluebarsidebob (U7403703) 30 November 2007 I really hope he has already contacted Jose because to have not called him, even to say "we will be in touch after an initial planning period" would be an insult and we would lose the best candidate just as we messed up recruiting Phil Scolari last time and look who we ended up with! super_niall17 (U9019289) posted Dec 1, 2007 Forget Mourinho, Capello, Wenger, Redknapp and Hodgson. The man best suited to the job is Mick McCarthy. Mick lead the least able group of Irish players of all time to the knockout stage of the world cup in Japan/Korea, and if it hadn't been for Roy Keane acting like a prima donna, and the gutless Football Association of Ireland failing to back their manager, we would have done a whole lot better. Mick McCarthy got the Irish team through a qualifiying group containing Holland and Portugal, and the 1-0 win against Holland, with ten men on the field, was a magnificent achievement. Mick lead by example as a player, and gets the most out of his players as a manager. Most importantly, he gets them playing with pride and self-belief.

One of my biggest achievements todate is leading my secondary school classmates to victory in inter-class championships. By the way, it was in Uganda, where i come from.

brazilmagic (U4614147) posted Dec 3, 2007 It has to be Mourinho or Scolari for sure. There is not one outstanding English coach in the top four Premier League teams, and this time they have to get it right (AGAIN).

keseak (U6669204) posted Dec 7, 2007 Too much of consultation may mar the quest to engage the world class of a coach to take on England, hurry and clean up for the exercise as we no longer can wait to hear of the England Manager being announced. Nothing less than the ranks of the Mourinhos shall be accepted. Comment on this article
