by cfcalways (U10426860) 29 November 2007
comment on the article

i am truly stunned at the amount of people on here that are actually adamant the mayweather is going to win this fight...

seriously people...if any of u understand ur boxing...check out the past 5 bouts for both boxers..check outh their form...and check them out now. Ricky Hatton is due to win this fight emphatically, i would put anything on it.

If anybody out there is ridiculous enough to truly believe mouthweather will win this fight and not get his neck wound in then would they please state their resons below...

If you look at my comment more closely Marv, you will notice that I support Hatton but I do concede that it could go either way. As I said, anything can happen. I said I hope Hatton can beat PBF but that doesn't mean I think it will happen. As for the self-hype remark at the end of my comment, I'm referring to Mayweather's claim to being better than Ali. If that is really what he thinks, then I have come to the conclusion that he is an idiot, plain and simple. For me, he doesn't even rank in the same league as Ali, PBF has rarely ever conquered a division, just moved through them collecting a title or two along the way. Ali dominated the Heavyweight division during his prime.

The cream always rises to the top! Did anyone see the body bag Mayweather was using, supplied by Johnson & Johnson I think.

cfc, that was the best you could come back with? I suggest YOU check out the form of both men, the best of what both can do and their careers in depth to see how misinformed your opening post is(I tried to do that for you but I guess you wilfully ignoed it).

Simply, what has Mayweather claiming to be better than Ali got to do with this thread? The starter stupidly stated that anyone thinking Mayweather can win is ridiculous, and bases this on their last five fights???? For as many Hoenyghans in boxing there have been as many Alan Minter's that got shown up by a simply better standard of boxer, regardless of what personality traits they show. It's not a case of it being a dead cert for Mayweather to win, but it's the more likely outcome when you weigh up everything about the two fighters. I will concede though, that anything can happen in boxing but lets just say that I think Hatton is just as likely to beat Mayweather as Kessler was to beat Calzaghe (who we always knew was the favourite to win that fight, even though it was no walk in the park). Can I say fairer than that?

If Hatton's ring work is spot on and he stops Mayweather from running away and fighting his fight i.e. jabbing and moving ....Hatton will hurt Mayweather and Mayweather will get the fear ....Then it is a matter of Ricky pinning him against the ropes and taking him apart !!!

PBF will shock the boxing fraternity, not by winning but by winning stunningly... He will put on the kind of show he gave against Corrales... stoppage 8-10

If Hatton gets inside PBF's defense, he'll probably win. If PBF gets riled up by the cheering Brit fans in the arena and decides to go toe to toe with Hatton at the start, Hatton will probably win. Any other way and PBF will probably walk it.

Mayweathers punches are very accurate. If Hatton gets cut I can see the ref giving a technical KO. Although I hope that doesnt happen!!
