Afer tonights game v Porto it has to be crouch and torres! Voronin was poor to say the least, and kuyt in my opinion doesnt make as much of a difference to a game as crouch does! When crouch came on he changed the game and torres was just brilliant! So IN MY VIEW it has to be crouch and torres v bolton! p.s finnan was also quality tonight !

Any arguments?

Fair play, Kewell is showing a lot of promise too. I hope we dont sell him just as he is about to hit a purple patch. Even though we have never seen th ebest of him, there is a glimmer of hope after seeing him against Newcastle and also last nite. KUYT infuriates me, and Veronin looks average. To be honest 4-1 flattered us , the game was pretty lame and maybe 2-1 would have been a fair result, if not a draw.

I think seasonsed 'Pool watchers have noticed a distinct upturn in the way the team is playing over the past few matches. There is a real willingness to attack and the bench feels very strong. U have to give Porto their due they were a very good technical side, but we were patient and the goals came in the end. I realy think that at long last benitez is getting the team to play the way he wants them to. If we had a schemer like the birlliant little Croat, Modric, and a new left back and perhaps one more quality stiker (Anelka?) then man oh man, happy days, this team would be formidable.

Obviously delighted with the win last night, and the scintilating display from Torres - he really is in a different class compared to the rest of the prem. However, at several points in last night's game there seemed to be a huge gap between midfield and our back four, which was not exploited by Porto enough. I hope Rafa saw this too, because Fergie will have!!

agreed. No more Voronin or Benayoun please.
They're truly average and lack pace to cope with the pressure. They would be good only when facing lesser teams for instance.

Parallely, Kuyt is really good as a second striker when playing alongside Babel if the latter is positioned on right wing. They played this way two games together, against Everton(second period) and against Newcastle(second period)too and it worked for us.Besides Kuyt did give plenty balls to Torres who missed out.

Anyway, the rotation policy must be restrained since we all know now, that With Babel and Kewell on wings, Liverpool have more width and pace. In the other side with Crouchy between lines we can bully any defence before we trash it.
Last but not least, I noticed there's no continuity between Arbeloa and Kewell, the latter did run 70 yards to make a pass to Torres to score the second goal. Kewell must be busy upfront not backwards. That's why I'd rather use Riise(left sided) than Arbeloa to strenghen our left side which has been really weak since the beginning of the season until Kewell was back to fitness.

So what what's next dear Rafa?

What on earth are you talking about? Yer your right it was a great three points dont get me wrong, but its not the best i've seen them play, dont kid yourself that it was either.

Its called having an opinion mate, regardless of the result we can still play better, im not picking on any players or saying that it was a bad performance, its quite a nice thought that if the team can beat a team of Porto's calibre 4-1 whilst not playing at are best imagine what they could do at their best.

Perfectionist, but a true red and have been for 32 years ok

So live that when the preacher has ended his remarks over your grave, those present will not think they have attended the wrong funeral.
