International Scotland

Just heard that Alex McLeish has resigned as Scotland manager. Any thoughts on who should replace him?

Do you think the SFA will appoint someone who isn't going to look to enhance his stature and take the first club management job that comes along?

Is there anyone out there that will do the job and want to do it?

souness and billy davis to take scotland forward? both are true scots and passionate about the scottish game and have great knowledge from both north and south of the border to build on what we've achieved this far?

I would never trust Souness at club level but he could do a job for Scotland.

Wish people would get over it. He did a good job but nothing that can't be built on.I do hate the fact we can't seem to keep our manager but pay good money and we can keep a manager. If the ROI can pay a salary of 1 million then we have to look at that. Do think that we have to try and put a manager in for a longer term and lay down a structure. Maybe it would increase the money coming into the game if we could have one body looking after football, not 3 organisations in a small country, and drop some of the dodderers in these organisations but that won't happen I suppose

How can a thread about an insignificant national team and a useless Championship side take up so much of people's time.

I have to be honest and say if I was in Scotland, I would do nearly anything to get out .. but Birmingham is a bigger dump than Scotland
He may as well have moved to Milton Keynes or Benidorm FC

The best man for the job would be Sir Alex Ferguson.
He has achieved everything possible with Man U and obviously has a fantastic record.
He does not need the money and I am sure would do a greaT JOB.
Why not appoint a caretaker manager until June and after Man U have won the league & European Cup again, Sir Alex could leave on a high note.

Am I living in Cuckoo Land?

Yes you are. Fergie has said he would never take the job again. He won't leave man u for a few years yet. He'll probably be there till he drops dead.
