Chelsea fan, so not too bothered by the result of this game, but have to say another great performance from Green!

MotD 2 all in favour of Keane's appeal for a penalty. Agree there was faint contact in the thigh region, but check where Keane's feet were at the time - already off the ground. He made decision to dive when he knew he'd overhit the ball. Either way, draw a fair result on the day.

I think the Keane attempt on goal would warrant a pen, but he was offside. Although the lineo didn't flag I think Riley saw it was offside and didn't award the pen. Yes the action itself was a def a pen, but he was offside - thats my theory.

2nd Pen claim which was awarded was very soft, although strictly speaking would just about warrant a pen - but again, very VERY soft and would NOT be given more than given, IMO.

Overall WHU had a better first half, and Spurs had most of the 2nd half. Think it was a fair result if im honest, although it could have easily gone either way as we saw, so the difference for me was blatantly Rob Green. He had a good game but also made one mistake which cost us the Dawson headed goal so from an equal performance from both teams we could have been ahead if it wasnt for that error, or behind if it wasnt for his save. Overall - fair result.

Thats 4 points he's saved us in penalties alone so far this season. C'mon Greeny!!! Ave it!

I am worried about Curbish managing WestHam. Two games now we've drawing at home. These are games that we should have killed at first-half with the performance we've been showing. I am wondering what strategy he is using after half time...It seems like we perform better before scoring.. We need to do better to maintain the winning form.....

Is it just me, or do others find this Spud's attitude of "we really deserve to be in the top 4" to be laughable and extremely arrogant. Perhaps this spilled over into the minds of the players this season and they thought they simply had to turn up to get a result.
All we ever seem to get is derisory comments about other teams, as if Tottenham have a God-given right to success just because they have money to waste on not-that-great players. Berbatov and Defoe look like they want to be elsewhere; Bent still looks lost; the defence was split open by West Ham on several occasions and were lucky not be punished further; and the midfield looks disjointed and uncoordinated. Yet, all the talk is about finishing in the top 6-7. Remember that there are several other teams who are pushing to be there at the end of the season and, at the moment, they look so much better that Spurs (Everton, Portsmouth etc.).

mylubus:

Yes, a little worrying; the Hammers could have had several more points if they could've killed teams off. Don't know if you can blame Curbs, though - Boa Morte blasted at Robinson when he had time to place the ball, etc. Hopefully, now that Ashton is back, we'll see some better, cool-headed finishing.
I think, taking into account the injuries, it's been a job pretty well done so far, but it always worries me when West Ham are only 1 up cos they always look vulnerable.
