We were far from our best today, but we got the job done, how Wigan managed to still have 11 men on the pitch is an absolute disgrace, BUT

We won, and the most important news...

MANURE LOST!!!!!!!

Three points clear at the top, and with a game in hand.

The only bad news is that Walcott left the pitch with an injury fingers crossed its not serious.

Diarra and Eboue didnt play well, but our defence was solid, and most people know im not Gallas's biggest fan, but im adult enough to admit, he was fantastic today.

WELL DONE LADS!!!

****Update****

Theo Walcott's injury isnt as bad as we all thought, apprently his ankle maybe twisted, but thankfully nothing was broken, theres more news on the Arsenal website.

"We play better football"

from UNhappymattbloke
laugh

That was very apparent against Sevilla..laugh .Only difference is that Man Utd, unlike Sevilla, failed to convert their technical superiority into a victory against Arsenal. What happened to the "great" Csec Fiberglass ...folded like a cheap North London suit. ..laugh

You should have crowded the midfield last night to thwart superior opposition as you lot did in the larger library against Man Utd...laugh

No girly celebratory routines last night...winkeye

Let's reserve a determination until the end of the league. ok

I would not discount a late surge from Chelsea ..sadface

agreed. Must say few weeks ago I figured Chelsea would b out of it. Now though, they seemed to have found form...unfortunately. Its easy to get caught up in the Arsenal vs Man U battle because thats what everyone is interested in and ppl have forgotten what chelsea are capable of (tho i dont think without mourinho they have a chance)

There is something reassuring about Utd and Arsenal being the top teams...its just the way it should be!! Interesting tho, how Chelseas £200 mn (LOL!) team they still cant keep up as yet.

Your sentiments are echoed mate - I will say that despite the attacking talents of the top two, a sturdy defence is imperative - I saw Man Utd struggle without Vidic against Bolton. I wonder if you believe your boys have decent cover for Toure. Can Gallas alone compensate for Toure's impending absence?

Well i dont know if you watched last night against sevilla, tho you would prob be watchin the utd match thinking about it! but defensively (even with toure we were poor, hence conceding 3 goals). senderos and gilberto need to do some serious practising if we are not to start losing prem games. Personally i think sagna is just as important as toure, but touch wood with toure gone, gallas + 1 more in the middle (prob senderos) shld cover things. If gallas get injured during that time we are in some serious sheisse. Sooner toure comes back the better really. Last night was watching the Arsenal of last season, just to frail at the back. We will see...

Anyway, I hope that Arsenal are so devastated by their defeat in the CL that they cave in against Villa. For some reason, I just can't see that happening. If Arsenal beat Villa then I'm throwing in the towel as far as the league is concerned. Anyway...Liverpool losing tonight will be ample consolation....smiley
