LoyalRed07 (U9347954) posted Nov 26, 2007 You Liverpool fans should have a bit more patience. At the end of the day, Hicks and Gillett didn't appoint Benitez, so straight away the relationship is gonna be tested. From what I can see Liverpool have a very good squad. I struggle to understand what major improvements your squad needs. The owners have got you some good players and backed Benitez. You've got Torres and Babel amongst others. You're also getting a brand new stadium, which from the design, I'm very impressed with. So have a bit of patience. Surely you'd rather have Hicks and Gillett than sulky, never-speaks-to-the-press Abramovich. You underestimate how popular football is becoming in the states. Most games get 18,000 on average. With LA and New York getting 30,000 sometimes. Which for a sport considered comparable to Netball over here is pretty good. If my team was taken over my foreign owners I'd like them to be American. At least they speak english as a first language.
